  1. Lets see what you think of this .Cult - Vilne Vollya.docx
  2. You are quite correct. I see the path you mention working as somethign more akin to Eurmal type aspect with slaves being "secret" initiates for a long time before becoming free. The path I am looking at would require pretty much self initiation which would likely lead to a rebelion.
  3. Right, the real version of Orlanth 😈 At least the version which exists in my Glorantha at the location where the game is taking place (closer to Pamaltela than Genertela). Orlanth is just not the answer for what I seek. I pretty much have it figured out. Will likely do a short write up post it here, as soon as I get a chance.
  4. Yes, but as we can see from above, for Aeolians, and likely some of the others, initiation is possible which would give them rune magic, divine intervention, spirit companions, and that jazz. That first step, called "sampling" in other games appears to be possible at a relatively minimal cost in terms of time and effort.
  5. Slavery is as much a confinment of ones mind as it is confindment of ones body. In at least my world, Ompalam's Slave Bracelets cannot be overcomed with Strength alone. As to Orlanth, if memory serves since I am too lazy to look it up at the moment, I believe Ompalam had subdued him and he is now a member of of his pantheon.
  6. Those are my thoughts as well. Game rules wise it is possible, but World building wise no way. It seems that the prohibitions in the system on Malkioni are more or less statement of the Gloranthan realities stated in meta gaming terms.
  7. We are beating around the bush here guys. Do full Aeolian sorcerers also achive the status of a Priest?
  8. Great, but do Aeolian Zzaburi reach the status of a Priest in terms of RQG and gain the benefits of this status?
  9. Got that, but I am looking for the how this reflected in practice. Aeolian zzaburi can and are initiated (followers of) particular saints. How far do they advance into the deeper mysteries of these entities? Do they become Saint Talkers (God Talkers) and Leader of Saint (Priest) or just nod to the basic function of the saint in its relationship to the Invisible God?
  10. From my understanding, what among the Aeolians sorcerers would rarely advance beyond an initiate status and most of their priesthood would not have more than a basic knowledge of sorcery. Is that the case?
  11. I would argue about "forbidden". I do not think they are forbidden, but rather it is a distraction and they do not want to limit themselves with the study of inferior forms. If you think in terms of other RPG games, this is similar to multiclassing. Yes, you will get access to more abilities and more spells, but in the longer run the strength of those abilities and the power of those spells will be much less.
  12. I would make sure to give it Dullblade since its on the Yelorna list and its defensive in nature. I am assuming Firehorn is a version of Fireblade? Ok, but that should not work on natural weapons. How is it going to use the Binding Enchantment?
  13. This is what I was looking for. So, basically for each particular area we would need to determine which are approved, ignored or hunted down.
  14. Don'r forget that even if it is not initiated, it can still caast spirit spells and there is a possibility that there are other cult options for it other than Yelorna.
  15. I am taking this from another thread which is moving off the main topic. So, my question is pretty basic, do these worshipper have priests other than the Malkioni sorcerers, and I do not mean the Aelions with their worship of St Orlanth and etc. Or, are only initiates allowed so aas not to create a separate power structure and the actual ceremonies handled by church sorcerers.
  16. Initiation is a bond between oneself and a higher power. An agreement sure, slavery not really. unless you consider every form of contract to be slavery.
  17. I have been collecing his posts on this subject, but it will be nice when they are compiled and put into "official" print.
  18. Ok, but what is his relationship to Omplam? Should I open a new thread for it?
  19. Agree with that. One shot attack. Basically a trap in a middle of nowhere. May as well deal out random damage.
  20. Interesting, do you have a source for this?
  21. I believe it is prohibited even in Fonrit as it is a prevertion of the basic tenant of freedom through slavery. Even though he is associated with Chaos, Omplam does not suffer other chaotics. as far as I know.
  22. There are Giftd/Geases for Humakti Allied spirits in Tales of the Reaching Moon #5
  23. In my game, the PCs are actively trying to fight off an Afadjani invasion. So, this would work.
  24. Death rune is same as severance. I view it in that context. Yes, that is getting closer. The magic is about right. Would need to separate it from Eurmal to make it more accessable to none Lightbringers and come up with a HeroQuest. Hmm, lets call it "Free yourself. Free the world." Thank you. I will definently read it over.
  25. I am not coming at this from a secific spell, but I would expect some sort of magic that aids in this tupe of thing. The main character is actually an Issaries, so yeah. That is why I am thinking a Hero Cult which spirings up from time to time as a need arrises. That is an interesting suggestion. Are there any write ups for him as a cult? That would depend on the spell, but you are correct there maybe version that would work on all of these (and others). For Runes I am thinking Death and Disorder.
