  1. I have it too, but I'd like to see some BRP statage for the various races. I'd consider putting them in my Worlds Beyond game then. As for artwork, I've been trying to track down the Denis Loubet art of the races from an article on Tschai in The Space Gamer#40. Anyone got it?:focus: So are you up for writing some BRP stats for the(Blue, Green and Old) Chasch, Pnume, Wanek and Dirdir?>:->
  2. I wasn't going to mention the Wankh:o. Vance has changed them to the Wanek, to avoid offence. As for shouting "onmale!" before going berserk, I'm a genteel Yao and would rather go awaile!
  3. So the +13D6 damage bonus mentioned for Hastur doesn't factor into things?
  4. I was wondering when modern space opera would meet BRP. Hopefully it will be a match made in heaven...or should that be space?
  5. Thanks for posting these damage classes. It has got me thinking, which is no mean feat!
  6. I'd like to see a BRP version of Jack Vance's Planet of Adventure. I like the Chasch, Dirdir and Pnume races and the planetary romance genre would be a good way of getting fantasy loving players into slightly more science fictional setting without too much stress.
  7. Using some form of megadamage rules might be the way to go with BRP. For example each point of damage a mecha does is multiplied by ten if it hits a person.
  8. If you want to use BRP there are some conversion notes for Traveller. You also may want to check my post in the "BRP for future") thread where I put some links to useful sets of BRP rules.
  9. There is no supposed. There are rules for making robots in Worlds Beyond, but not as PCs. Robots are too tough! Futureworld has some good rules for PC robots. Come to think of it Futureworld has some very good rules on weapons/ forcefields etc, and its free! I highly recommend Cthulhu Rising as it has almost everything a BRP space game could need, and its free.
  10. The world generation in GURPS Space is more complicated than the one in Worlds Beyond. It would be nice if someone could find the author (Frank Shewmake) and ask him if we could put the world generation section of the game into the files section of this site.
  11. My most used supplements are Ye Booke of Monstres 1 and 2.They are good for taking stats from wether you're playing CoC or fantasy or SF games.
  12. Theres nothing like a long wait to cultivate the virtue of Patience.:ohwell:
  13. I think that I'll try reading it first before I go on the battlefield with it. The game has advantages and disadvantages like Champions or Superworld. Which makes me think that using some supers rules may be the key to effectively converting it to BRP. Superworld might be the rules to use. By the way Fun Guy what brings you so far from your regular haunt on Yog Sothoth.com?
  14. If you get the game please tell us all what you think of it.
  15. I hope for more good times roleplaying to come!
  16. So, the great DM failed his saving throw;-(. I hope that the DBRP book is dedicated to him, as one of the founding fathers of roleplaying.
  17. Good luck with obtaining a copy of the game. I sincerely hope that it doesn't disappoint you. I'd like to start a thread up for Worlds Beyond to see if we can cobble up some adventures for it.
  18. I heard that there were some dodgey copies around with faulty binding. So I checked my copy in the shop before I bought it. I'm friends with the shop owner, so an unconscious battered roleplayer on the floor wasn't much of a problem.:shocked:
  19. Google has a translation facility. Its not fantastic, but with some perseverence you can usually understand most of what it has translated.
  20. I'm doing my bit for BRP. I only wish that I'd printed off the rest of the rules!;-(
  21. Heh! My copy seems robust. I tested it on a fellow roleplayer by bashing him with it repeatedly about the head until he was unconscious. The book was a little bloodstained but it stood up to the testing and no pages have fallen out yet!
  22. Gianni kept the Worlds of Wonder torch burning, and for that we should be thankful. I love Future World and Super World and I'm glad that he put these defunct games up on his site. He deserves a round of applause.:thumb:
  23. I suppose you could class Elric! as a supplement now that there are the new Mongoose Runequest rules for Moorcock's Young Kingdoms.
  24. I did write "supplement" but maybe I should have included the full BRP games as well.:ohwell:
