  1. Greetings, I was just curious about you, the people here. You see I know that BRP games, Runequest, Call of Cthulhu mythos, Pendragon, Nephilim ect. games are based on mythology & history. I am curious what the people involved as either players or designers and creators backgrounds are in mythology? Did you have any books in particular that set you down the path to mythology and Chaosium Inc. as well, or any that you have found that really were beacons for you? I'm just curious because there is a lot of conversation about gaming with some side talk and references to mythology. It would just be an interesting insight for me and I am curious about you, fellow Tabletop Game's and mythology fans. Your thoughts are appreciated, regards, Victor.
  2. I love my big beautiful volumes of the Guide to Glorantha. That said I would love to have ten more Runequest books on my shelf, and it will be easier to go to the specific book I am looking for. I've been most excited about the Cults and Gods of Glorantha and am really excited for more content, and the more information and more pages provided, the more I am excited. I love how fully fleshed out Glorantha is as a world and the artwork that has been put together for RQG really brings it to life and I can't wait to see what Chaosium has laid out, I'm sure it will be brilliant.
  3. I am the GM, and Vishi is one of my players. We are cunning the starter set adventures.
  4. Those are some great ideas and good instruction, I appreciate it, thank you Beoferret. Even though I've read about the Spirit World, I have yet to run any spirit world stuff yet so I've been a little bit nervous about it. I do feel because he is a shaman it seems rather appropriate though, especially at the beginning of the game to use this as an opportunity to help him understand his character and how to play him better and how he interacts with spirits and the spirit world. So, if he talks his mount into sticking around to him a while longer, how could I use him as a spiritual entity to help him in the game? Could he assist him in Spirit Combat then? I could possibly keep the high llama in the spirit form without his head, it could be a sort of "Headless Horseman/ but the Llama is without a head sort of deal. Unless in spirit form it would be back to it's complete self. Any way, it would be interesting, knowing death is not the end in this game in a way. Thanks, cheers:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf5Y94tw30E
  5. Our 5th session in and my player playing Vishi was missing pretty much every roll, then he drops to zero hp. Fortunately another player was able to heal him some. Then his high llama got decapitated. Needless to say I think my player was feeling rather discouraged. That was near the end of the session., any recommendations for my next session? I thought maybe Vishi could meet with his high llama in the spirit world. Any recommendations or ideas of how I could make this interesting so maybe my player will feel encouraged? Thank you.
  6. Thank you Klescer, I appreciate your feedback. I think my biggest problem is second guessing myself. I just bought the new 40th Anniversary Keeper Rulebook and the Keeper Tips book which I have started and it's really inspiring. I have some money coming soon and plan on getting a bunch of Call of Cthulhu Books. I'm trying to decide though, I want to get either: Gateways to Terror, Dead Lights, Doors to Darkness, or some other tome with some short scenarios (1-3 sessions) to lead into Masks of Nyarlethotep. I might also get something else in between before jumping into something so big. Amy advice would be appreciated, thank you.
  7. Back in May I ran the "Edge of Darkness" scenario and at the time, the final showdown in the farmhouse felt to me like a total bomb. Nobody was saying anything and I kept rolling really bad when rolling for how much sanity was lost. I could only ever seem to roll 1-3 and so I couldn't make anybody run out of the house and I tried throwing a racoon down from the attic, but it didn't last long enough. I certainly should have gone harder as a Keeper, but tonight my players told me they loved it and my player Larry said he was genuinely terrified. They were just really tired because they stayed up too late the night before and one of them was really hungover. I feel re-validated in my ability to be a Keeper:) I'm excited to soon buy some more Call of Cthulhu stuff!
  8. To Whom it May Concern, I was just wondering as being it has been over 25 years since the Original "Ghostbustersâ„¢ A Frightfully Cheerful Roleplaying Game" was released, and a Fifth Movie sequel has been announced. Has there been any talk of a new Ghostbusters TTRPG being made? West End Games was declared bankrupt in 1998, but I don't know if Nocturnal Media now has rights to it. I also realize that Chaosium is quite busy. I've always been a big fan of the Ghostbusters and the TTRPG game is unique in that it's from 1986 and you can still find people playing it on Youtube. Ghostbusters: Afterlife did do alright in the Box Office but it was right in the middle of COVID, so I'm sure that effected the numbers, but I also know it didn't do great overseas. Anyway, not really expecting anything to come of this post, just pondering how a Ghostbusters game would be really cool and I couldn't find a modern incarnation & was just was curious what people would have to say about this. Salutations, Zulfikar Zaban "We Came, We Saw, We Kicked it's Ass!"
  9. Ha, nice. I have definitely become a lot more tech savvy since covid. I have learned to make maps with sketchbook pro and have created paintbrushes for maps to create random sized mountains for mountain ranges and trees for forests, and pretty much whatever and I can use real mountains and trees as the images. I really quite enjoy it.
  10. Greetings fellow gamers, I'm just curious, I haven't played much BRP, just a little Runequest and the solo adventure of Call of Cthulhu. When I played Runequest it was with a veteran gamemaster and we did use some maps and tokens, but I didn't know how you all approached the game, especially playing online, and what do you use for audio and for maps and tokens? Also, where do you get your maps and tokens for online if you use them? I personally like to use Discord for audio in other games I play, and have played on Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds, but personally prefer Owlbear Rodeo for it's simplicity and I think it helps lessen the confusion of trying to understand the ins-and-outs of an online platform on top of trying to educate new players on how to play with the rule system of a TTRPG. I'm just curious how other people approach this, that is all, thank you.
  11. Guess I don't know how to erase a post.
  12. I actually got invited into a Runequest game already and should have erased my OP. Thank you for the offer though.

  14. Perfect! Thanks Bill the Barbarian. If you want, I'm sure I could find some other players if you can't find anybody. Just for a heads up, I have games on Friday and Sunday nights, other than that, I'm very flexible.

  18. I know in another post the moderators confirmed that they were having trouble getting Runequest up on Roll20, something about the Roll20 staff being really busy and haven't been able to do it yet, or something along those lines. What I'm wondering is with the starter set coming out is there any plans to get it up on Roll20? It would certainly help boost it's promotion and sale. Just wondering, thank you. The Starter Set looks beautiful.
