  1. Thanks for the feedback. It does make sense, and I agree that the particular situation is going to change how it can be handled.
  2. Cheers for the feedback. We had a second session with no pushed rolls. But I have to say I completely forgot myself, I'm going to bring it up at the beginning of the next session and see what the players think. Once again, appreciate the comments.
  3. If a character has a high DEX (say 80) they should get a bonus die at point blank range, in this case 16 feet. The rules say that long or cumbersome weapons (shotguns, rifles etc) don't gain the bonus as they are "less easily brought to bear on a moving target at close range". At a very close distance ie. standing next to someone I would agree to this but with the DEX example above would that really still be an issue. Never having handled a shotgun or long firearm I'm no expert, but I would have thought that a target at 16 feet away wouldn't be too hard to keep a track of with a long weapon. Any advise?
  4. Recently picked up Down Darker Trails and Shadows Over Stillwater, decided to run it using Pulp Cthulhu. After a couple of sessions in I realised that no one had been pushing their rolls but they had been spending Luck to correct failed rolls (where allowed). We haven't been playing Pulp for long so don't have the experience, but in your experience does the Luck mechanic minimise the use of pushed rolls in Pulp Cthulhu?
