  1. What's the status with GORE from Goblinoid Games? Seems that would fit perfectly.
  2. I agree, looks nice and straightforward. Any idea when the book will be out?
  3. Cool! Thanks for the link. This game is starting to look pretty interesting....
  4. Just wondering what kind of sci-fi adventures you guys would be interesting in seeing in the monograph contest. It's such a broad category...and with no setting anything goes! I'm thinking of submitting an adventure myself but am having trouble choosing a sub genre for it. I have some ideas that run the gamut from sci-fi horror to space opera. I need help narrowing it down! So what would be fun?
  5. Very cool. There's a lot of potential here. I always thought the 5th edition never recieved the love it warranted. Good luck with the site!
  6. Thanks, Steve! I downloaded a copy and it looks really fun so far. Now I just have to decide what genre to run something in... There's no strange marks on my copy, either.
  7. I'm assuming it is, but can anyone tell me if the PDF is printable? Just want to make sure before I purchase it! Thanks!
  8. If you don't want lyrics, try some of Mortiis' early stuff. The guy looks pretty ridiculous but his music is awesome, especially for darker, Call of Cthulhu type stuff. Also Danzig's Black Aria is pretty good for this sort of thing. If you don't mind lyrics, especially foreign lyrics, then Therion is absolutely the best for evoking a mystical, sword-wielding type of music. Especially the albums Theli, Lemuria and Sirius B. They are mixture of operatic, progressive, power, and sometimes death metal. One typical power metal band I hadn't seen mentioned yet is Iron Fire. Very much influenced by Iron Maiden (the best band EVER!) but are much more obssessed with dragons, swords, and magic.
  9. Yeah, this sounds great! Normally I'm wary of Chaosium's monographs but this is one I'd actually pick up. I'd love to take part in the playtesting as well. Good luck with it!
  10. Besides BRP-based games I gamemaster: D&D 3.5 Star Wars (D20) Mongoose RuneQuest (pretty much BRP, though not as good) I wish I got to actually play these and many other games but I can't find anyone to GM, which irks me to no end. However, I've recently given up on D&D...I'm so tired of the cumbersome system and I doubt a 4th edition will solve those problems and I don't feel like shucking out another $90. I'll continue running Star Wars off and on since its Star Wars...I just wish it wasn't D20...I'm not a huge fan of the D6 system. Perhaps a BRP conversion will be in order after the release of the new book?
  11. Yes, I'll be awaiting the release of this product as well. It's true that this genre is mostly ignored in roleplaying and I think it can be loads of fun. I think too many people have become too serious about science fiction and forget to stop worrying about "logically" explaining everything and just have fun with it. I love that the default Earth setting is the '20s...wouldn't be hard to tie it in with Cthulhu or any other pulpy adventures. Great idea!
