  1. Thank you for that info, I'm happy to hear that while it has been removed it will comeback. Some of those inquiries might be my fault, I expressed some concern about the durability of a 400 page paperback version in the comment section before it was taken down.
  2. Basically what the title says, I didn't get the chance to get the PDF and I was holding out on the POD version with the hope that there would a hardcover edition in future (due to the 400 page count and for fear that the spine would crack with a paperback version). I couldn't find any info as to why this has happened on this forum or a google search, I wondering if anyone might know what's going on?
  3. The introduction page for the first Blood Brothers book has a different take on the sanity system for the scenarios presented in that book. You could use that for your scenarios, though finding a physical edition that doesn't cost to much might be tough since it was published in 1990 for the 4th edition. But the PDF for it is available on Chaosium's store page.
  4. I forgot to take everyday items into account when I made my post. But what I was mainly referring to were prices that are already outlined in the books. For example in the Kingsport book there are rental homes that cost $95 a month and mansions that cost $300 or more a month in 1920, would cost today (according to the online calculator I mentioned) $1,373.27 and $4,336.63 respectively.
  5. The Superhero book is on indifinate hold, that's a shame. I have a framework for a campaign when it comes out that combines a bit of the The Boys (how they got their powers, not what the "superheroes" can get away with because they have powers) and Invincible.
  6. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good online inflation calculator? I want to set a scenario or campaign in the modern day using the previous Lovecraft County or Delta Green books and I was able to find one myself just called "usinflationcalculator.com", but I wanted to know if anyone here has their own preference for one or how they update the prices in a setting or campaing book set in the 1920's or 90's in Delta Green's case.
  7. I was wondering why there were alternate names for the mythos creatures in the Fall of Delta Green book. Also is this why other companies have to go through Chaosium in order to get their Lovecraft-based game published, even if it doesn't use the BRP system? I read on Wikipedia's Call of Cthulhu article that other companies had to get the license from them in order to make their games, like Pelgrane Press with Trail of Cthulhu or Steve Jackson Games with their out-of-print Cthulhupunk.
  8. I hope they do that. I have all of the core books for WWC, except for "Our American Cousins", due to it's limited print run as a result of Cubicle 7's license expiring. I would like an official version, since I had to self-publish a PDF of it, because finding one is near impossible and when they are available they are either very expensive or someone buys it before you have a chance to get it.
  9. Has anyone who's ordered it from Chaosium received theirs yet in the US? According the tracking information I was sent, as well as a talking to an agent from USPS they said the info was sent to them on December 15, but not the package itself (it says "Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending").
  10. New update on the Malleus Monstrorum's physical release: https://www.chaosium.com/blogcovid19-shipping-and-fulfilment-update-december-7th-malleus-monstrorum-news/ When they say later this week I take it they mean Thursday or Friday.
  11. The Ancient Ones were mentioned in Cthulhu Dark Ages' mythos section as mainly what they and other gods could be interpreted as by other religions and cultures of that the time period, but they did not receive an entry in the current Malleus Monstrorum. Granted a number of creatures and deities didn't make the final cut in the MM, but it does seem odd to mention them and than not give them an entry. They were mentioned in Tawil at'Umr's (an avatar of Yog-Sothoth) entry, as speculation that might be an evolution of the Outer Gods and Old Ones. So if you were to include them in a campaign during the Dark Ages or any time period would you just modify their stats using the conversion guidelines or would it be up to the keeper to determine their stats? I ask since in the spell section for Tawil at'Umr and the Ancient Ones in the first MM says they know all spells, while the current MM lists a few spells for Tawil at'Umr it also includes "others dealing with time and space at the Keeper's discretion".
  12. According to thegamer.com the regular edition will be $89.99, minus what you paid with the PDF that comes out to $50. It also said there will be a leatherette edition which will cost $199.99, minus the PDF price that comes out to $160. I'm not certain about the shipping price, but I used two separate slip cases (Masks of Nyarlathotep and the Call of Cthulhu Starter Set) to try and estimate the shipping price which might be between $9-$12.
  13. Just in case no one read the recent blog post: Here is the link to the blog post: https://www.chaosium.com/blogcovid19-shipping-and-fulfilment-update-november-6th/
  14. No offense, but at first its release date was October, then early November, then late November, now mid December, and by the time we reach the date you mentioned the book will likely be pushed back again to sometime in February 2021. When did everything begin to fall apart between the PDF's release in June to October. It seems difficult to blame to the ongoing pandemic since the country where the book is printed in, Lithuania has only had 14,824 cases.
  15. I was just wondering how soon exactly? Based on what Rick said earlier on October 11th it seems like we are still three weeks away from it arriving to the US warehouses. I don't mean to pester anyone about its release date, I've been really looking forward to this book ever since it was announced and my anticipation for it only grew when I bought the PDF for it.
  16. Awhile ago someone on reddit showed an email saying that the Malleus Monstrorum was going to be released in early November, but based on what you said it seems like it's going released near the end of November. No offense, but for an anticipated release such as this it seems like Chaosium should be using their blog or social media accounts to keep customers posted as to status of a product's projected release date, including date changes and the reason for it.
  17. I actually emailed Chaosium for a potential release date in October and they told me the release date has been pushed back to early November due to a freight issue. They said it could come earlier, but they didn't really delve into any details.
  18. In regards to POD CoC titles will you also be including previous editions of books that have been made for the 7th edition? Like the first edition of Terror Australis, some creatures featured in the bestiary of that edition (such as the Ninya) did not have an entry in the 2nd edition (they were mentioned in the Dreamtime songs though). As well as the second edition of Cthulhu by Gaslight, which contained an interesting section on using time travel in CoC.
  19. Some more artwork was posted on Chaosium's twitter page on Nov. 5 for the Winder Walker, Spawn of Hastur, Devil Creeper, and Gnoph-Keh: https://twitter.com/Chaosium_Inc/status/1191711299656282112
