  1. We have a new Horror On The Orient Express campaign on the DungeonsDeepRPGs Podcast! We will be running the ENTIRETY of the game, and putting our own twists and such into the game. It will surely be unlike any HOTOE campaign you've seen. We are very granular and take our time to roleplay and investigate. Here's our Episode 1 Blurb and Apple Podcasts Link (it is available on all major podcast platforms): A Doctor, a Professor, an Illusionist, a Priest, and a WWI Demolitionist are brought together by a one Professor J.A. Smith to investigate some paranormal activity in Cornw
  2. Buried under fields, entombed in roots, or burbling under marshes, lurks the aglæca... A new creature for your D100 or GUMSHOE-based horror mystery RPGs. The Aglæca is a beast out of the mists of folk-legends and grandam's fireside tales, an eater of children and king of the wastes. This article includes: Stats for the Aglæca for both percentile-based RPGs and the GUMSHOE system. Variations and echoes on what the Aglæca is and where it comes from, and scenario seeds for placing it in your game. The Aglæca is available from RPGnow/DriveThruRPG.
  3. For your delectation... http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/235 ... Homecoming Some notes: * As mentioned, this is nearly a scenario, depending on how much work you have already done in establishing backstories and world building. * Beyond base Mythras, for gameplay this is nearly totally compatible with Classic Fantasy, I think. The only things missing are the Class aspects of the NPCs, but they should be fairly obvious.
  4. I'm not sure this goes here or not... but I heard the game is based on Openquest rather than CoC... Anyway, Raiders of R'lyeh is finally out for purchase in PDF form. It's huge and looks great. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/209168/Raiders-of-Rlyeh-Gamemasters-Guide--Core-Rules?affiliate_id=10748 It's aimed at Edwardian era horror adventures. It swings in a more action-adventure mode than old CoC... and has rules more in line with Openquest. It's been a long time coming and I'm kind of excited to finally get the chance to read it.

Years ago, I ran a yearly Halloween BRP Chill game for more then a decade. Here is one of the adventures that I converted to BRP during the playtest. The adventure is only converted by myself, and I do not claim ownership of the material.

While I have nothing against the Sanity rules of Call of Cthulhu, I don't think they are necessarily suitable for all horror settings when simulating Fear. Another horror RPG that I believe does it just as well, if not better for my uses, is Pacesetter's Chill. Years ago, I translated the Fear Check rules to BRP for a yearly Halloween BRP Chill game that I ran for more then a decade. Here are those rules, along with the rules for Sensing the Unknown. These rules are written by Michael Williams and only converted by myself. Chill Fear and Sensing the Unknown.pdf
  7. We are participating in DriveThruRPG's annual sale, so stock up now and save 25%. Hey, only two products are behind a paywall anyhow, but now's your chance. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/10499/Old-Bones-Publishing I regret that the timing was not better for the release of Savage Swords Against the Necromancer. We are still on track for the end of the month, though. It won't be too much, I promise.

  10. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/198941/Secrets-of-Blood-Rock--FREE-TASTER http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/198942/Secrets-of-Blood-Rock In the northwestern reaches of The Vale rises an odd mountain of dappled red and grey stone. Maps call this place Pied Peak, but in the nearby town of Crafton it is known as Blood Rock. That name is shared by the village on the mountain, a quiet settlement with an unsettling ambience, and a dubious history. Days ago a well known peddler returned breathless and pale from that isolated hamlet, bearing a tale of mystery and woe. Villagers ar
  11. Not really CoC, but I'm always look for things horror, unknown or creepy to use for Coc/Delta Green. Saw this on BRPs Facebook group and it looked pretty cool. Just sharing, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1861515217/aquelarre-the-dark-and-mature-medieval-rpg-now-in/description
