  1. Version 1.0.0

Many years ago, fans of Glorantha had an attitude that D20 games wouldn’t fit in Glorantha, as Classes and Levels don’t work. Then came 13th Age Glorantha to disprove that notion. Also, many people in the D100 space looked down on D20 games as Classes and Levels don’t work with D100. Then came Classic Fantasy to disprove that notion. I once mentioned the idea of converting 13th Age Glorantha so that it would work with D100, but the idea was unpopular, as it was considered Crossing the Streams, which is, as we know, like, really bad. As I like things that are really bad, and had horrendous Writer's Block on Merrie England: Age of Crusade, I looked at how easy it would be to convert 13th Age Glorantha. Not very easy, as it turned out. Anyway, I have Uploaded V1.0 of the Conversion. Why Version 1.0? Well, it could well have typos and errors, it is missing Bookmarks, as I can't get them to work in Google Docs, and it may well need other material added. Please add any comments to the sister thread that I will link to in a separate post.
  2. Dungeons & Dragons & Glorantha?—A review of 13th Age Glorantha, the roleplaying supplement published by Chaosium, Inc. which brings the d20 System action of Pelgrane Press’ 13th Age and narrative storytelling to Greg Stafford’s Glorantha. http://rlyehreviews.blogspot.com/2019/03/dungeons-dragons-glorantha.html #reviewsfromrlyeh #rpgreview #rpgreviews #Glorantha #13thAge #d20System #Chaosium
  3. Iconic, the 13th Age podcast, looks at one of the new 13th Age Glorantha character classes, the Berserker. Glorantha fans, you can play a Storm Bull or a Zorak Zorani in this class! https://iconicpodcast.com/2018/08/27/s2-e11 And review 13th Age Glorantha itself here, in earlier episodes: Part One: https://iconicpodcast.com/2018/06/04/s2-e05 Part Two: https://iconicpodcast.com/2018/06/18/s2e06/ And talk to 13th Age and 13th Age Glorantha creators Rob and Jonathan: https://iconicpodcast.com/2018/04/09/s2-e01
  4. Chimériades has an embarrassment of choice when it comes to great gaming and I had a huge amount of fun playing Herve the Trickster duck in the core book heroquest adventure "The Horn of Snakepipe Hollow" . It was a late night (10:30-1:30) session, so it was a little messy as we were all tired. Also the game was run bilingually by Jean-Christophe Cubertafon, as I was the only non-Francophone. It was an unusual group with I think 3 Troll PCs. With three points in "Song and Dance duck" background, there was indeed song and dance and used my bag of tricks with a succession of improvised weapons- a sacred vase of Ernalda; a dildo in the shape of the Red Emperor and a model of Kero Fen. I can confirm that taunt and fuster- cluck are fun additions to combat. 13th Age- putting the fun into F20 gaming.
  5. The Uk's largest gaming convention (and 3rd or 4th largest worldwide) UK Expo is being held on 1st-3rd June in Birmingham. Currently there are 3 Heroquest and 2 Runequest games scheduled, which have now all sold out. Which is good news. Are any more GMs interested in running Glorantha games? (From a selfish perspective I have no games scheduled for Sunday...). There is still time to submit games to Expo and you'll get free entry to Expo for that day and Cult of Chaos credit. Anybody interested in running a 13th Age Glorantha game? It'll be good to raise the profile of Gloranthan gaming at this large event.
  6. EN WORLD previews 13th Age Glorantha, "a 400+ page love letter to Greg Stafford’s World of Glorantha, one of the most extensively developed and renowned fantasy settings of all time" by Rob Heinsoo and Jonathan Tweet, the lead designers of the 3rd and 4th editions of D&D. http://www.enworld.org/forum/content.php?5088-Preview-Greg-Stafford-s-Glorantha-in-13th-Age!
  7. "13G gets an enthusiastic thumbs up... It is clear the authors love Glorantha, and their giddy enthusiasm is on every page", says long-time Glorantha devotee Andrew Logan Montgomery in his comprehensive review of 13th Age Glorantha. https://andrewloganmontgomery.blogspot.com.au/2018/03/13th-age-glorantha-review.html He poses the question, why bother with 13G?: "For 13th Age fans the answer is simple. If you love that game, there is every chance that you will love Glorantha, given the fact that both Rob Heinsoo and Jonathan Tweet do. Glorantha's influence on the Dragon Empire, for example, is evident in the mythic extravagance of that world. Places like Starport, beings like the Koru Behemoths, even the Icons themselves show Gloranthan inspiration. How could you not be curious after reading Heinsoo's dedication? But seriously, this is one of the most storied and significant settings in fantasy gaming, and 13G serves it up for a game you already love. Now is your chance to see what 40 years of fuss has been about." (He goes on to answer why RuneQuest and HeroQuest fans might like 13G too...)
  8. 13th Age Glorantha authors Jonathan Tweet and Rob Heinsoo talk about their processes, design choices and influences for 13th Age RPG and recently-released 13th Age Glorantha in this Tableplay Podcast interview. They also recount their abiding interest in Glorantha and how that started for them both, and give their "elevator pitches" for 13G (that starts 1.06)... A brief excerpt from the 13G elevator pitches: RH: "...Dragon Pass is a central area in Glorantha that actually literally exists between—though not everyone really knows it—the bodies of four living giant dragons." JT: "W-h-a-t??" RH: "And in between them you have this amazing vibrant area where all these cultures that are connected to different runes collide..." http://www.tableplaypodcast.com/episode051/
  9. This is Lee Moyer & Aaron McConnell's spectacular cover art for 13th Age Glorantha—you can see why the theme of the book is "Chaos is Rising"! And this is Jon Hodgson's glorious cover piece for the Glorantha Sourcebook, featuring the Crimson Bat! Both books will be available in PDF from Chaosium later this month.
