  1. Gathered from across the aeons, Petersen's Abominations brings together is a collection of modern day scenarios from the twisted imagination of the creator of the Call of Cthulhu RPG himself, Sandy Petersen. Ably assisted by Mike Mason, Call of Cthulhu line editor, each one-shot scenario is designed for one or more sessions of play. Scenarios include 'Panacea', 'Hotel Hell', 'Mohole', 'The Derelict', and 'Voice on the Phone'. Each scenario comes with a set of ready to play pre-generated investigators, allowing players to dive straight into the mysteries within. Available now in PDF, direct from Chaosium. No need to wait for the hardback!—purchase the PDF now and we'll send you a discount coupon that offsets the PDF purchase price once the hardcover version is available. https://www.chaosium.com/petersens-abominations-pdf/
  2. I own 6th edition, and was wondering if someone could give me a brief rundown on the differences between it and 7th.
  3. In partnership with DriveThruRPG Chaosium is launching a new way for Call of Cthulhu creators to write and share their original material, and make money too. Starting soon! More details here: https://www.chaosium.com/blog/introducing-the-miskatonic-repository
  4. PULP CTHULHU and DOORS TO DARKNESS in Hardback - Available Now! http://www.chaosium.com/blog/pulp-cthulhu-and-doors-to-darkness-in-hardback-available-now/
  5. New Horizon is a fan created space game very reminiscent of Cthulhu Rising. You can get it here -> https://darkenwings.itch.io/new-horizon
  6. This thread will post errata for Call of Cthulhu books/PDFs as and when updates occur. Once PDFs have been updated, they are replaced on the Chaosium website, DriveThru RPG, and Bits & Mortar.
  7. One year ago today, in the midst of Gen Con 2019, Critical Role's SHADOW OF THE CRYSTAL PALACE Call of Cthulhu one-shot was released on YouTube. In the time since over 1.5 million Cthulhu-curious viewers have witnessed this gaslight-era mystery of malevolent proportions! Once again, many thanks to Keeper of Arcane Lore Taliesin Jaffe and his doughty investigators: Marisha Ray, Erika Ishii, Phil LaMarr, Travis Willingham, Ashly Burch, and Liam O’Brien. Watch their evening of Call of Cthulhu secrets and shadows here! And you can still pick up the Call of Cthulhu Starter Set for a cosmic horror adventure of your own and use the code CriticalRole at check out for 10% off your entire order
  8. Welcome back everyone, this is Dethstrok9! Today, we have a very special guest! Dennis Detwiller is a writer, designer, and illustrator for some of your favorite games like Magic the Gathering and Delta Green. We're going to interview him and see what he has to say about a number of topics, including MtG, DG, the Video Game industry, working for Wizards of the Coast, co-founding and running Arc Dream Publishing, why KickStarter revolutionized the industry, Call of Cthulhu and its impact, and valuable advice for game designers just starting out in the industry! Dennis is the four-time winner of the Origins Award for game design, and the thirteen-time winner of the ENnie Award for RPG excellence. His books Delta Green and Delta Green COUNTDOWN are the highest rated RPG products ever, according to RPGnet and RPGgeek, and he has 9 products in the top 100 RPG products of all time. I encourage you to check out the interview. This far exceeded my own expectations, as Dennis' answers were extremely thought-provoking and filled with useful industry information. It's also pretty short, just over 30 minutes:) Thanks for reading, I hope you find this interesting! Link below.
  9. Hello, I'm running "Missed Dues" tomorrow which came with a starter pack I bought on Amazon. The Chaosium site gives you E-copies (pdfs) with physical purchases. Is there a way I can access the E-copies eventhough I purchased on Amazon? Thanks, J
  10. I have found a Lovecraft story which could be of great inspiration to Keepers about how to make simple things scary using hierarchy of knowledge.
  11. The journey got off to a rocky start when the 3 fools met in MacDonald's for a planning phase. The session quickly spiraled downhill for the players as no one could find the light, and nothing they did mattered. They also killed everyone they came in contact with... The horror began with jokes and ended in ironic terror as minds were blown and games were metaed. Join us again next Saturday for the second (likely final) part to this tale. You will evilly laugh at their futile and feeble attempts to escape their destiny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=os8MTuVDTIg&t=9428s
  12. This is a new thread where content creators can post about their new content, and people looking for new content at reduced prices (or even free) can see what they would like to review. The creator would give the reviewer a copy at whatever agreed upon price, then sometime within 2 weeks the reviewer would post an honest review. I'll start the bidding! I recently created a 45 page scenario for DriveThruRPG about Easter Island. If you are interested in getting a free copy in exchange for reviewing the product, let me know.

  15. Heya folks! I just wanted to spread the word about a Horror on the Orient Express game I'm involved in, we play weekly and have been posting videos of it on Youtube and more recently in podcast format. We started in the Invictus Era where we played a prequel adventure and then moved onto the Gaslight Era where we did a second prequel (The Blood Red Fez) and are now into the main campaign in the 1920's. We've got a great group and GM, come on over and check us out! Find us here: Dungeons Deep RPG's YouTube and in podcast format: Dungeons Deep RPG's Podcast If you stop by make sure to give us a like and/or subscribe to help spread the word!
