I'm running a Southern Reaches MW campaign and have re-read the various spell descriptions. When I come to the Walking spells (Wind-Walking, Wave-Walking and Earth-Walking) I find the caster seems to have no means of walking through that element (Flame-Walking is an exception to this). It seems a bit pointless that Wind-Walking doesn't allow the caster to fly, for instance. I'm thinking of tweaking these spells so the caster can (perhaps with a POW roll) control the distance and direction moved. I know that Southern Reaches Erdebroc Dwarfs can move at quarter speed when using their innate Earth-Walking ability and worry that allowing a Human caster to move through earth would, in some way, devalue that talent. Have you any experience with these spells? If so, would you care to share what you've learned? Thanks, Colin
I've purchased the pdf yesterday. I love the setting and the adaptation for the OQ rules but I don't understand the abcense of burst fire (three to five rounds fire) rules. This is a usual fire mode so why didn't you include it? By the way, perhaps I'm wrong but with some submachineguns you can shoot 8 times (snap shots) in a round of 5 seconds, is that really possible (with any accuracy I mean)? This will need 8 dice rolls won't it be better to have the burst fire rule for this situation? Thanks for your time and excellent work.
