HeroForge Miniatures

I know there are plenty of people who hate the idea of using miniatures for CoC but for those who do, or just love the idea of cool minis, HeroForge updated their website with the beta for their color minis after their successful Kickstarter earlier this year. It’s easy to use, fun to play with, and they look fantastic. The color minis aren’t available for purchase yet (or rather you can preorder them) but if you want uncolored minis to paint yourself, they’re really nice. I’ve been playing with the program all night and I had quite a bit of fun designing these mythos themed figures so I thought I’d share.

EDIT: Sorry, quick update. I meant to say that the beta is open for those who backed the Kickstarter. Still, if you like to paint your own minis, you can still make some fantastic ones.

Those are spot-on for CoC, davewire! I like using the Hero Forge site to create tokens for Roll20. Rotate to a top-down view and they work well as tokens (save the cutout and scale to a 70 x 70 png, which is one unit in Roll20). The examples below are from the current gray scale version of Hero Forge so I added some black highlights in Gimp for the Professor so you can see the detail. The second token is a generic cultist token that I "painted" in Gimp--added layers over the png and then added color then dropped the transparency down so the original shows through. If players get attached to their character, they can order a customized miniature from Hero Forge!
