Phil Hendry
Hi there, My group have just started a PBEM Cthulhu game, with me as GM. I'd have liked to have gone a bit more hi-tech than PBEM, but technophobic players are what they are. Anyway, there is a request for some 'background' info about 1920s life in general and Massachussetts in particular. Are there any favourite resources out there which give anything from a brief introduction upwards, to save me having to set in and write something please? I've had a hunt around the webosphere, and around these forums and have pretty much drawn a blank - my Google-fu seems to have atrophied in lockdown. klecser
One of the Investigator Handbook's main selling points is that it contains an information-rich gazetteer of the 1920s. Softcover version currently on sale if you're looking to save on retail! https://www.chaosium.com/call-of-cthulhu-investigator-handbook-7th-ed-softcover/
Baron
A picture's worth a thousand words. Type "how we lived in the 1920s" into Youtube, and you'll find some fine short films. This one is especially good, animations based on old postcards: Very cool video on Youtube
David Scott
As an aside, I find these 1920 maps very useful. They aren't crowded with modern stuff and being from the 1920s need no editing: https://www.loc.gov/maps/?fa=location%3Amassachusetts&all=true&dates=1920-1929. There's also linked photos at the bottom. Edited May 8, 2020 by David Scott 2 Quote ----- Search the Glorantha Resource Site: https://wellofdaliath.chaosium.com.
