Even with upsides like "lots of Lunars and symps died" and "liberated the Kingdom", that's set against "oh god, more mysticism: frying pan, fire!", "this ended really really badly last time!" and "we have to explain the the Stormbullies all over again how it's not actually all a subtle form of chaos". Be a while until people start taking epithets like "Dragonfriend" as a point of pride, and not a snarl word. Especially considering if your goal is to convince Sartarite reactionaries to be more open to the whole Draconic Mysticism thing, pointing to the cataclysmic event with a death toll in the (tens of?) thousands is probably not the way to go. Argrath has the easier job of subtly introducing the draconic perspective through the Sartar Magical Union.

"So some of you may have had ancestors killed by dragons, following people mystically meddling in their affairs..." "Yes, the Dragonkill!" "Maybe think a little more recently..."

The collective horizontal position of the Kingdom of Sartar regarding Argrath's Second Empire of the Wyrm's Friends is ... interesting ... given everything else we got told about how Orlanthi and Sartarite culture and history worked. At minimum, the return of draconised Solar worship to the Sun County should have been the signal for the Lightbringer worshippers in Dragon Pass to either peace out or leave before Argrath brings back worship of Orlanth the Dragon and Scaled Ernalda. He went to Sun Dome County and installed his friend Rurik Runespear as Count. He went to Clearwine for a blessing from the Colymar, and got it. At Two-Ridge Fort he installed his friend Vailor Blue Fox as king of the Malani. Argrath put the Tricksters under his protection and told them to come out of hiding. Argrath then went to Boldhome, accompanied by his companions. </quote> Do you think that list of destinations should be read as chronological? Do you think he would be noticed when travelling around Sartar? Maybe people loyal to him joins him along the way? What about his army? I’m guessing he’d bring some kind of force (in addition to his companions). Or would he be able to install counts and kings simply by reputation? If you trace his route, beginning at Alda Chur, through the various locations listed in order you will notice a pattern, ending in Boldhome. So yes, it is chronological. And he probably flew, as is appropriate for this pilgrimage, since it would have taken too long to walk/ride and end up in Boldhome to light the flame. He travelled with his closest magical companions that could keep up. (Flying steeds, sylphs, spells, etc...)

What was the blessing that he asked for? Maybe the Wind's blessing to make his entourage fly Stormwise around Sartar...
