Gratitude.

As we all have the winter blahs in this, Year Three Anno COVID, may I suggest that we all look to what we have rather than what we lack?

Gratitude and contentment isn't something that's particularly valued in contemporary Western society, and it's time to bring some of that back into 'vogue'.

Food on the table, heat that works, clean clothes, and employment to maintain these things are not little things in the world.

Me? Well, I'm grateful that somebody I love loves me back. I'm grateful that she's a Geek Like Me. And I'm grateful for her thoughtfulness. How thoughtful?

Well, she made home-made Swedish lefse [think a tortilla made of potatoes... but about twice the work to make] and hunted down lingon berry preserves for them. Just because she heard me say one day that I liked them.

So yeah, grateful.
