g33k
Hi, Just found someone's "inherited" collection with a couple of older Chaosium boxsets. I wondered if I should advise them to specially treat these via auction/etc...? If they are collectible/rare/expensive... King Arthur Pendragon 2701-X Hawkmoon 2106-X TYVM! Rick Meints
The King Arthur Pendragon 2701-X and Hawkmoon 2106-X boxed sets can be quite collectable. Without pictures of the items, or at least a description of their completeness and condition, it isn't easy to really estimate their value with any precision. Brand new in the shrink-wrap they might be worth $250 or so. Complete and in excellent condition they might be worth $100-$125. Luckily, the "what's in the box" sheet that should still be in the box, will list exactly what all should be in there. If the dice are missing, the value doesn't take too big a hit, but if any books or handouts are missing, those do. Also, split box corners or lots of wear or dishing on the box also greatly affect the value. Quote Hope that Helps,Rick Meints - Chaosium, Inc. Ian Absentia
My boxed copies of KAP 1st ed and Ringworld (only ed) were purchased ages ago from some poor fellow's water damage sale, so all I've ever been able to do with them is enjoy and play them. !i!
