The gods book will present Jakaleel as a Shamanic cult (and, of course, as part of the Seven Mothers cult). I wasn't actually fond of the Jakaleel Sorcery school; but I loved the idea that "Jakaleel" encompassed a variety of spirit societies with different foci and different approaches that might look superficially similar (i.e., all Spirit magic) but ideologically cover different approaches and utilize different Secrets of the Spirit Plane. He sees the chance that an alliance between his control of Dragon Pass in general, and Kordros Island in particular, and Queen Hendira and her control of Nochet could make them two of the richest people in Glorantha - which is why he is so outraged when the Assiday, heartland jerks who care only about the religious implications and impressing the Emperor, mess it all up 🤬🤯not only do they predicate the uprising, ultimately losing it all in their arrogant triumphalism, but they don’t ever realise what they have ruined. The Assiday Heartland jerks had their grubby little paws extended at that prize in 1605 when they let him take care of the eastern flank, with way better results than the main army under the nincompoops. During the Siege of Whitewall Tatius worked very hard at beating the losses incurred by his cousin at the Building Wall, but his masterpiece was yet to come - the Dragonrise. Unfortunately, he did not survive long enough to see that. But then, securing Karse for himself gave Fazzur the main trade route on a silver platter. Whichever genius came up with the duck bill artefact idea in 1613 had ended any hope for successful use of the Creek-Stream - Lyksos river route anyway, so the overland route along the ancient river bed of both Creek-Stream and Sshorg was it. And the failed logistics during the biggest cataclysm within the last two wanes were only a pretext. IMO if there was one professional military man in the early phase of the Hero Wars, it was Fazzur. 1 Quote Telling how it is excessive verbis
Rodney Dangerduck
Given that the Lunars are great at "discovering" that some local god is "really" an aspect of one of the Lunar core gods, their answer to the question "Is Etyries worshipped in Esrolia ?" is certainly this: "Yes, but they just don't know it yet." 1
Manunancy
though tha tsort of "nope, you local god ist just really our foreign god with a coat of paint' approach with a big mystic push to force it true seems dangerously close to things like the Godess Switch. There might be some problems in the long term....
