My beloved Seahawks took another hit yesterday. ESPN commentator, football intellectual, and noted Seahawk honk John 'The Professor' Clayton passed away yesterday at age 67. John started his career at may local newspaper and was one of the guys who offered insightful, thought provoking commentary and analysis even when the team was in its really bad years. He later moved on to ESPN and made one of the funniest ad spots ever [link below if you're interested]. An NFL insider and guru-scientist, such American sports luminaries as Chris Mortenson and Al Micheals are paying tribute, "If you talked about football with John for 15 minutes, you walked away from that conversation smarter than when you went in."
