The Call of Cthulhu Down Darker Trails Catastrophe Engine Campaign continues.

 

Jack West has not been seen for a while.  It's time to catch up with what has been happening with him.

 

On January 8, I ran a one-on-one game with James Brown, who has not been available to game for a few months.  This interlude catches his character, Jack West, up with the others.

The Call of Cthulhu Down Darker Trails Catastrophe Engine Campaign continues.

 

Taking a break from the terrors they've seen, the investigators are invited by Dr. Eva Weisswald to Wheeling, West Virginia, for Christmas.  However, there is an ulterior motive, as her nephew, Albert, has been hanging out with a bad crowd and she's been asked to come set him straight.

 

On January 20, the campaign continued with the original scenario "A Very Weisswald Christmas."

The Call of Cthulhu Down Darker Trails Catastrophe Engine Campaign continues.

 

The investigators head back to Wheeling from Baltimore by train.  Unfortunately, something terrifying happens on the way, causing a wreck.  The people of Falls Run come to help, but something strange is going on in the small West Virginia mining town.

 

On January 17, the campaign continued with the Masque of Red Death scenario "Falls Run."

The investigators arrive back at Wheeling and begin making plans for first spying on the Elgers, and then how to handle the mad, inbred family.

On February 10, 2019, the campaign continued with the the conclusion of the original scenario "The Wolves of Wheeling."

It's Professor Brandon Stalloid alone this time, following up on an artifact lost in transit from China to San Francisco.  The search will lead him into the desert.

On June 7, 1917, the British Army pushed into Messines to take it from the Germans.   A group of eight men in a British Mark IV tank of the Heavy Branch Machine Gun Corps took part in that battle, but saw and dealt with something terrible they had never expected to see: The Colossus of Messines.

On March 30, 2019, I ran a one-shot Call of Cthulhu scenario for NerdCon 2019 at Appalachian State University. "The Colossus of Messines" saw the six players running soldiers who were the crew of a Mark IV tank during the Battle of Messines.

Once Marshal Pierce is reunited with Professor Stalloid and Jack West, they head for Dodge City in search of John Valentine or Daisy Sparks.  They learn both are heading for the Dakota Territory and, when they arrive at a certain settlement, are certain it is connected with the Crescent. But the people are acting mighty strange ...

The Call of Cthulhu Down Darker Trails Catastrophe Engine Campaign continues.

The people of Crescent Springs are obviously keeping secrets and, likely, it pertains to both the Crescent and Daisy Sparks.  But getting answers isn't easy, even after seeing the horrors locked in the nearby barn. Then more complications arise as Clayton Pierce's supposedly dead father arrives.  How will they find the Crescent?

It's time for another online game of Call of Cthulhu.

When Arthur Blackwood is accused of murder, he desperately begs his cousin to help him prove his innocence before the trial, claiming there's something terrible in the cellar of the cabin near Whitehall, NY, where the death took place.  Can his cousin and a pair of private investigators, plus some unexpected help, find the proof they need to exonerate him?

On January 19, I ran an online game of Call of Cthulhu with the introductory scenario "What's in the Cellar?" by Jon Hook.

The investigators have made their escape from Dakota and returned to Professor Terwilliger's farm in Oakland, California.  There, they make preparations for gathering and protecting the Crescents and finishing the rocket to get them off the planet.

Glad I could help. :D Tom has always been one of my favorite characters in the book. It is a shame he never made it into the movies. I need to fully read through the books my self, last time I only made it through the battle of Helm's Deep. Hope you enjoy your read through. :)
