Starting War Horses for PC (homebrew random tables)

Since we are converting an old 5.2 campaign into the 6th edition, I needed some tables to randomize the characteristics of the PCs' main chargers, beyond the Horse Personality Table.

Plese, give me your thoughts or criticisms.

 

Starting Chargers (Colour)

D20	Color	Cost	Passive Glory	Notes and associations (from p.185-186)
1-6	Chestnut	Basic Cost	None	Most common color, war
7-9	Dun	Basic Cost	None	Poverty, humility
10-12	Black	Basic Cost	None	Nefarious personalities
13-14	Yellow	+£5	+5	Undesiderable by some, wealth for others
15-16	Pale	+£5 (p.186 “hard to find” but also “same price as yellow horses”).	Maybe +5?? like the Yellow Horses ?? (p.186 “Thought to be fairy horses or omens of death)	Fairy horses, omens of death

Starting Chargers (always Geldings or Stallions, as per p.180)

New Rules for Stallions (Substituting those on page 186):

 -2 Horsemanship, +1d6 Charge damage, +15 Passive Glory

 

Unique Training (p.184-185)

·         Roll 1d20 = 1-12 (no special trick), 13-17 (1 trick), 18-19 (2 tricks), 20 (3 tricks).

·         For each trick roll 1d6

I would make the 'special horses' (i.e. costing more than the norm) hella more rare than 40%.

20 Roll again: 1-16 Grey, 17-20 White

I like it. However, I would give black stallions something (a little bonus, cost a lot more). Players will probably want black stallions, because they are edgelords ^^

+£2 would be easy enough to implement? You can even make them give 2 annual Glory, which would be in line with the other horses.

And regarding Gelding/stallions ratio....how much do you think Stallions to be frequent? 

In my table above I made them 25% of the horses to be stallions, and all other are geldings.

I thought mares were also good war horses, but the text on p.180 say that all War horses are either Gelding or Stallion, no mention of th mares.

I'd let the Player choose.
