svensson
So, I don't post on CoC much but this came across my feed and I think a lot of you tentacle heads might enjoy this 🤪 I often watch youtube vids about people who are keeping ancient techniques for daily living alive. You know, the people who can build a wattle and daub hut in a couple of days by themselves using period tools and techniques. This particular content provider has been doing vids that are usually outside of my line of interest, but some of his stuff is pretty interesting. WayPoint Survival specializes in survival techniques after 1900 and had done a bunch of videos on hobo survival during the Great Depression. In this video, he shows us a 1920s survival kit using Spanish American War and War One equipment... the kind of stuff that an Investigator about to go into the boonies might find available at their local outfitter. Yes, there is a certain 'Indiana Jones' aspect, but that was the fashion of the era. Also, I always wonder why these vids insist on putting belt equipment right on the ball of the hip or in the front quarter of the waist. Anyone who's ever been camping will tell you that this location just gets in the way and that over the butt-cheek really is the way to go. So, enjoy the vid! I hope you get something useful out of it   Edited August 18 by svensson
svensson
As an addenda to my post above, this is a different creator doing similar things. It's a 30 minute video of a man squirrel hunting with a 20s era vehicle on 20s era roads in what appears to be New England terrain. The only things it doesn't have are Tommy Guns and Deep Ones! I really like bringing real life conditions and situations into my games and I hope everyone enjoys this. Â
