MOB
"Only a few fan organizations appear within the pages of Designers & Dragons. Reaching Moon Megacorp is certainly one of the most notable. Not only did their products become professional in quality over time, but they would also shape the entire future of their favored game line in a way that no other fan organization has before or since." — RPG historian Shannon Applecline Produced as a fundraiser for THE KRAKEN convention, Shannon Appelcline's latest work The Moon Files is a history of the fan organization Reaching Moon Megacorp and its impact on the RuneQuest RPG and the fantasy world of Glorantha. Shannon writes that the Megacorp's fanzine Tales of the Reaching Moon was "the place where the next generation of Gloranthan authors first gathered, where they first tested their skills. They would be the future of the game." Indeed - on the current Chaosium team Rick Meints, MOB, David Scott, and Nick Brooke are all alumni of the Reaching Moon Megacorp — and many RuneQuest and Glorantha writers and artists also got their start creating for Tales of the Reaching Moon. Many of them are still active today, writing for Chaosium or in the Jonstown Compendium. The Moon Files: Reaching Moon Megacorp is available at DriveThruRPG for $6.00.

Jason Farrell
Too bad the magazine itself isn't. I have them all in .pdf (and concur that it is *the* best RQ/Glorantha magazine), but I wish everyone had access to them.
Aurelius
Amazing! I hope it provides deeper insight into how canonization of content has actually worked in Glorantha community. So many good things first saw daylight in TotRM.

It's impossible, due to the number of contributors, not all of whom can now be reached, even if they were willing. I had the same problem with the magazine I published after I left the Tales gang - I was asked a couple of years ago about collecting them up into a fasimile reprint book, but I simply have no way of getting permission for all the contents. 1 Quote -- The Winter King | An Unofficial Buyer's Guide to RuneQuest and Glorantha | The Voralans | The Children of Hykim
