PaulB Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Can anyone point me at a list preferably with brief descriptions of Grazelander Clans (and tribes, but I don't think that is applicable). The only one I can seem to find is the Four Gifts Clan in the main rulebook? I have a player creating a Grazelander adventurer and we seem to be missing this piece of information thanks in advance Quote

If you want a non-canonical list, you could pick up the JC work The Grazelands: Clans of the Pure Horse People. 3 Quote Edge of Empire | Nochet: Queen of Cities | Nochet: Adventurer's Guide
jajagappa Posted November 10 Posted November 10 There's also a lot of clan names shown on David Dunham's old Grazelands map here: 1 1 Quote Edge of Empire | Nochet: Queen of Cities | Nochet: Adventurer's Guide
Erol of Backford Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Only a peripheral tie to this thread but curious did anyone assign a clan to Yanastan River Laughter (Initiate of Yu-Kargzant) from the Beyond the Building Wall scenario in TotRM 13, p.37, he is named as one of the Wyrm Hold's outlaw gang's captives. Guessing it might be the Yellow Orb or the Water Strider? If so, following that scenario the clan may have amicable ties to the Caprati of Nochet? Quote
Ethereal Posted November 11 Posted November 11 (edited) I would recommend checking Google for "Greg Stafford and Black Horse Troop". Some years ago I remember reading a story in "Wyrms Footnotes" about the 'Black Horse Troop' and the Grazelanders. ‘Feathered Horse Queen’. Was the leader of the Grazelanders? My memory might not be accurate. (In fact it is long, long ago and far, far away.) Says the story was written by Greg Staford, but when I looked on line it was associated with the name Ethilrist. Might have been a pen name for Greg. Somewhere I read theat the leader of the Black Horse Troop married the ‘Feathered Horse Queen”. That might not be Canon thou. Also while not Canon there might be information in the Magazines ‘Tradetalk’ and ‘Tales of the Reaching Moon”. They are out of Print. I believe you can find PDF’s of some of them on DrivthruRPG. They were written during the Hiatus of Runequest when Hasbro had control of Runequest/Glorantha Publications. They were for RQ2/3 and might not be current Canon. Recommend researching ‘The Well of Daliahia’ https://wellofdaliath.chaosium.com/ on the Chaosium Website. Avalon hill Game Company published RQ3 before Hasbro took over Avalon Hill. AH published several boxed sets and Books on Glorantha. Not aware of any thing printed on the Grazelanders. Games Workshop also published RQ2, but not Glorantha. (that I am aware of.) https://gamesworkshop.fandom.com/wiki/RuneQuest_(2nd_Edition) Mongoose also published material and Game mechanics for Runequest/Glorantha. (now called Legend, but no Glorantha information) Check Mongoose Forums, but that is mostly other games than Runequest. Lastly you might try RQList http://mail.rpgreview.net/mailman/listinfo/runequest_rpgreview.net This was another source for players of Runequest during the hiatus. Might be Defunct. I haven’t received anything from them since 2020. But they did have archives last time I checked. Also might not be canon. Good luck. Edited November 11 by Ethereal Quote
