Mark Mohrfield Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 This was going to be a campaign by Lawrence Whitaker for HQ in which the PCs where followers of Harreck and get sent on various missions by him on a lozenge-spanning campaign. It was unfortunately dropped, but the idea always fascinated me and I gather that parts of it where completed and played before it was axed. Was anyone out there part of the playtesting, and it so what was it like? 2 Quote
Brian Duguid Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 I wasn't involved in the original game, but I played in a one-shot scenario that Herve Carteau ran at Continuum earlier this year (using Lawrence's material), where the pirates raided Dombain. The only possible words that would describe it are "epic" and "spectacular". 1 Quote -- The Winter King | An Unofficial Buyer's Guide to RuneQuest and Glorantha | The Voralans | The Children of Hykim
Geoff R Evil Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 In a campaign now where my Humakt worshipper becomes a Ygg wolf pirate and follower of Harrek, he has also become Armani illuminated now too. We have been replaying various parts of Harreks saga. We just sacked the City of Wonders for example, and are now assisting Kallyr collect the bits she needs to summon the brown dragon. Just heroquested and defeated a demigod Sky Captain. It’s sort of fun to play at hero level. I get the feeling at some point we may end up falling out with Harrek…that will be a big fight…. Quote

Have a look at the search results here, there was play testing... @Hervé may spill some info. 2 Quote ----- Search the Glorantha Resource Site: https://wellofdaliath.chaosium.com. Was not part of the games, but was avidly following the blogs as I thought it sounded like a fascinating world-spanning campaign. Looking through my notes, I think David has pointed you to the original blog posts. Another stray bit that I recorded was a FB post announcing a game at Kraken 2012: Quote SIZE OF AN ELEPHANT Author: Lawrence (Loz) Whitaker Narrator: Hervé Carteau TAKE PART IN THE HARREKSAGA as a playtester. Play in Loz' first scenario of the Harreksaga and be a Trusted Wolf of Harrek! The wolf pirates come to Teshnos - and Bad Things begin happening. An explosive, heavy-duty scenario, with elephants, a cast of thousands, elephants, burning palaces, elephants, fire magics and more elephants. Brian Duguid Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 Yeah, that's the scenario that @Hervé ran at Continuum. There were indeed many elephants! 1 Quote -- The Winter King | An Unofficial Buyer's Guide to RuneQuest and Glorantha | The Voralans | The Children of Hykim
