Luca Cherstich Posted November 28 Posted November 28 (edited) As odd as it may seem (given its complexity) I came to like Book of Battle, as I've been using it for the past several years. Now I have a new situation: does anybody have any homebrew rule for Player Knights acting as Army Commanders and NOT just simple Unit Commanders? The book is always focused just on Unit Commanders, with army commanders rolling only on the first charge, but this is not fun for players acting as Army Commanders. My take would be to make an opposed Battle rolls between PC's army commander VS Enemy army commander at the start of each round, just before rolling the "Battle Events", when the Army Intensity is calculated. I would apply the following results for the PC army commander: Win (critical success): -3 Army Intensity. Win (success): -2 Army Intensity. Tie: -1 in Army Intensity. Fail (partial success): +1 Army Intensity. Fail (failed roll): +2 Army Intensity. Fail (Fumble): +3 Army Intensity. Off course the Army Commander will also roll for his unit each round. Any idea, criticism or suggestion? Edited November 28 by Luca Cherstich Quote
