Ok so was reading Gamemaster Notes for the Sun County River Ritual – The Well of Daliath and this section caught me eye "The initiate chosen to take part in the River Ritual is ideally an unmarried male, who then enters into a ritual marriage with the nymph. Theoretically, a female could undertake the quest, seeking to marry Zola Fel himself, but this would be unheard of in the patriarchal Sun Dome society, even for one of their Yelornan cousins".  Now in the time of two counts Vega needs to prove herself.  I think she might try the ritual herself.  Now if she succeeded in the ritual to marry Zola Fel himself would you expect the results to be within the "normal" range or could more be expected?  If the ritual succeeded too well could she get pregnant and if so what of the ramifications within the Yelmalio cult and for that matter with the Ernaldans.

I speculate about Countess Vega’s reluctance to undertake the ritual in Black Spear, p.88 (this page also has two of my favourite footnotes in the book); MOB’s own, more historically-informed take is on p.101.

Yet another jonstown compendium piece I need to buy.  Once I get Black Spear I will return to this thread with questions/thoughts about what might happen should she go down the route of actually attempting the ritual.
