Hey all!

I am one of the designers who submitted a game system for the Design Challenge. I was not in the finalists, but I have continued designing and playtesting my system. I designed the original SagaBorn system (now labeled SagaBorn d20), and I am very excited to move on to the Chaosium system and more open gaming platform. 

I am needing more eyes on the system and have started running playtests as a Westmarches style game. If anyone wants to join up, I will link it below. As 2025 starts, I hope to run one or two sessions a week!

SagaBorn has long been a place for me to build on the world featured in my and my brother's artwork. So far I have had such a great experience with the BRP community and look forward to continuing being a part of it.

I judge BRP variants first by their sheets.  I like yours.

What is "ACU" the mnemonic for?  Seems like your "POWer-alike" stat, from the sheet.
Similar for "SOC" (I presume "SOCiability" or some such).

Without reading the rules: maybe Acumen.

Yep, Power is Acumen. That would fit better since it gave mana and spirit points. And yes, SOC is Social.

I really like "Social" here!  It gets away from the more specific terms like "CHArisma" and "APPearance."

Not so fond of "Acumen" -- that isn't anything magical/psychic/etc... more a matter of good judgement, decision-making, etc.  But it's largely a "mundane" thing.

Yeah, it's hard to find a perfect word. Since I went with Simple Skill Category Modifiers, Perception Skills were POW/2 . So I thought Acumen, while not perfect, was a good enough stand in for the ideas of an inner spiritual connection and a perceptive expertise.
