Hasseo66
Hi, Heres a question regarding Jabberwock claw attacks: If the Jabberwock grasps and immobilizes the target, when does the target get to resist STR vs STR? Is this attempt to break free a free action or does the target have to wait for his turn? Can he make an attempt every turn, and if he breaks free, act/attack in the same round? BMonroe
It would happen on the victim's DEX rank. He can make an attempt every turn until he resists and breaks free. It's not a 'free' action, but once he's loose, he could take a second action (at -30%) to snicker-snack the frumious beast. Quote Please don't contact me with Chaosium questions. I'm no longer associated with the company, and have no idea what the new management is doing.
filbanto
I'm probably mixing up my rules, but doesn't "immobilized" mean that the Jabberwock has already beat you in a STR vs STR roll? Once he's got you pinned I'd rule it takes your whole action to attempt to wiggle free. As an aside: A frumious Jabberwock Ben? You must be mistaken. Manxome to be sure, but frumious - never!
