Update #29 on March 9th mentioned that Chaosium was moving from using Backerkit to OBS to distribute the PDF files for backers. I was wondering if it would be possible for Chaosium to issue OBS codes for backers to get the RQ1 and RQ2 files that were distributed via Backerkit so that we could add them to our library at OBS to have all the files in one place. g33k Posted March 19, 2016 Share Posted March 19, 2016 I did not understand them to be saying that they were "moving" from Backerkit to OBS, just using OBS for the larger files (Backerkit had iirc a 50MB/file limit); but maybe I misunderstood...? Rick Meints Posted March 19, 2016 Share Posted March 19, 2016 We are starting to use DTPG for the future PDFs we will be sending out, but we haven't "moved" in the sense of putting all of the back catalog there. DTRPG is not "replacing" BackerKit as a whole. We just aren't going to be using BackerKit for PDF downloads because of their very inconvenient 50MB file size limit. Putting all of the previous PDFs into everyone's library in DTRPG isn't as simple as throwing a switch. Time spent doing that just means less time spent on creating all of the forthcoming books.
