I found the ISBN (0-8359-6870-7) and did a search; its publication date is December 1980.  Less than $30 used from Amazon, be prepared to quintuple that for a new copy, assuming it's available.

It seems to have been a "mistake" that it wasn't capitalised on the RQ2 cover/logo. Because throughout the RQ2 rulebook, the text refers to "RuneQuest".

Well yeah, the irony of using the original DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS typeface for the RUNEQUEST logo was not accidental.
