It is also more compact - 66 Mb including cover. If you like the update and do not own a dead tree copy, please consider pledging for the hardcover edition on Ulule. However I was able to get it from RPG Meeting Looking forward to reading more later tonight. If possible we will integrate the change in the print version, but we are running out of time. Mankcam Posted November 10, 2017 Share Posted November 10, 2017 (edited) Finally getting around to find some time to read RD100 a bit more thoroughly, the pdf release seems to put it back on the radar for me. I'm a long way of discussing it in any great depth, but I am really liking a lot of what I am reading. My two 'must-have' rpg books are BRP BGB and FATE Core, primarily because I can run anything and there is little overlap between the systems. However I am finding RD100 to have a lot of middle ground between these two systems. Obviously RD100 is a BRP game (with the MD100 SRD chassis); but it feels like alot of FATE-like influences have crept into it. So far I am really liking the simple skill list (akin to Mythras or OpenQuest), however the Trait bonuses are a nice way to specialise, and because there is no definitive list of Traits then it is really useful for setting specifics and character individualisation I'm really liking the pdf, but the hardcover book will be when I truly get this system. However I really like it so far, this could potentially replace the BGB for me... It replaced HQ2 and Fate for me, when using Basic Combat. For more crunch a la Stormbringer or 2300AD we use the Advanced Combat rules.
