That looks like a proper character sheet to me. Reminds me of the John Sapienza ones in RQ2.

It's an entirely personal thing. At our group over the last 30 years I think I've heard all of the above. We're a diverse group playing a wide range or old and new stuff. I've just been playing Iron Kingdoms - fancy sheet, looks good, works well, but the hit point section was a bizarre unreadable spirally thing. The biggest problem we have is that the light levels where we meet are so low that you often can't read you character sheet without extra light. So please guys just make it self illuminating or I won't buy any of your product again.

Phosporescent, possibly radioactive character sheets should remain the domain of Call of Cthulhu. Fluorescent ones legible under a darklight might be an idea, however.

Where is that version of the Sapienza sheet from? Every version I can find is the one with typewriter dots for lines. The "real line" one is what we used to use back in the day, but I have no idea whether I got it in a book or an old A&E or Wild Hunt. (Honestly, I'd started to wonder if I'd gone a little batty and dreamed it.)

I was thinking more of electroluminescent sheets, I used them a lot in displays in a previous job:

or an a4 eInk character sheet device compatible with all games. That’s the future.

Really? I just assumed the RQ2 book was the same as the RQ Classic, which has the dot version. Weird. Because I remember the dot version from the ancient times and being far happier with the line version. Were there multiple printings of the RQ2 book? Oh well, time number 4976 that I kick myself for loaning my RQ2 stuff to a friend and never getting it back.

(Sorry for the ancient history derail)

The classic has the dots, yes. I've the classic and an original with the lines. There were definitely multiple printings but the MiG doesn't mention those nor the the online version http://web.archive.org/web/20090228094412/http://www.glorantha.info:80/ (the text is the same). Time to call on Mr. Suitcase (@Rick Meints) - So how many printings and did they vary only in the character sheet changes dots to line?

Confirmed.  I have both a softbound and hardbound copy of RQ2; the softbound version has the dots and the leatherette hardbound has the lines.  Unfortunately, there's no info about printings in either, and the copyright dates are the same.  My suspicion, though, based on the condition of my softbound copy, is that that version was printed before the hardbound.  Of course, the hardbound would survive better anyway...
