I created this a while back based on an in-development version of the rules (Working draft 2.1). Since then the category mods have become multiples of 5, the skill list has changed quite a bit. The RQG Wiki has detailed instructions. Aussi en français. Pick your Race, Culture, Occupation, and Cult in the drop-downs in Column A. Click the "Fill" button (dotted down-arrow) in column F to set up the dice to roll. Click the D6 icon to roll a set of stats. Click the "Fill" buttons in columns AW, BD, BE & BF, (wait for each one to finish before clicking the next!) to populate all the character creation skills. The AW column button is for race skills, typically just Insight, but also Darksense, Earthsense, Elfsense. To translate, currently into Spanish or French, select the language in Column A and click the Translate button to translate everything. The Perception skill Special () is for Elfsense, or any other race-specific sense skill that might arise. Darksense etc. Scan and Search are handled as specializations, e.g. Search (Darksense), Search (Earthsense), etc. Everyone else gets N/A in these. The CharGen sheet can track up to 10 melee skills and 5 ranged skills, and you can pick which ones show up on the CharSheet with drop-downs. I have added "Agimori" and "Morokanth" cultures, which gives them the basic Praxian skills that all the others get e.g. Spirit Combat, Survival. If it persists, try Tools->Script Editor, and click the Save button, and close the tab. Sometimes the arrows on the CharGen sheet move around, and occasionally a rune on the CharSheet will move. This is a visual glitch in Google Sheets, just reload the page. If a non-Troll joins Kyger Litor, and already has a Speak Own other than Darktongue, they will not get the skill bonus. Add it manually as a Speak () language. If a Troll joins Argan Argar, they will get Speak (Darktongue) as a secondary language even though their main language is Darktongue. Just move the bonus to the main language and remove the secondary. Cult Lore has a tick box, which it should not have. Skills can go negative due to category modifiers, this should be capped at zero. I am not entirely clear on when this capping happens, before or after previous experience. More features on the backlog: Sorting skills into alphabetical order for translated sheets - the trick here is to move the tick box with the skill. Automatic rolling of skill checks? Also I noticed that the secondary bonus calculation has "+5" instead of "+4" so secondary category mods for stats higher than 21 were kicking in at 22, 27, etc. Oh, and low stats had the wrong sign on their modifier, so they behave just like high stats! Ooops! You're missing the Evaluate skill. Add in anything here, including experience, training, HeroQuest bonuses, etc. You can, of course, use any of the columns AO-AS for whatever you want once character creation is completed and you no longer need to keep track of where the chunks of skill came from, you can consolidate the original numbers into a single column and use the rest if you want, for example, to keep experience and training separate. I may, for example, want to do my experience rolls by adding the new gains into a blank column, and then summing them up into another column when I'm done. It's pretty wild. I like Paul Jaquay's Central Casting tables, too, but looking at the prices at amazon, that's not a useful suggestion to buy it. Heroes of Legend has provided much of this stuff to my PCs and NPCs in the past, with only slightly more work to make the results fit the setting. If you remember Martin Laurie's Humakti character Onslaught, I wove him into the background of one of my characters thanks to Central Casting - basically holding a grudge for killing the character's Humakti mentor. It was that incident which made him stop trying to get into the Humakt cult and go to Lhankor Mhy instead (in both cases, through his Truth Rune). "Primary negative" modifiers (i.e. SIZ on stealth) was being treated as "secondary negative". Secondary negative modifiers, such as POW on stealth and SIZ on agility, were being calculated as primary negative. Oops! Deepest apologies for anyone who is using a broken version of the sheet. There's no real easy way to upgrade an existing character from one sheet version to another, copying the formula will not work properly as I have inserted an additional column. RQG v1.0: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1I9uqXXIFuj_ID5B143b8ES2UgNaZ9GM1ekhPWTHNtbY/edit?usp=sharing The Roll! macro might pop up some warning and prompt for permission to modify the document. Clicking the "Roll!" button under most circumstances will roll the dice into the cells in column B, which are automatically assigned to stats. You're done! You can ignore the results below cell B20. If you select a single result cell in Column B and click Roll!, that individual die is re-rolled. If your GM lets you re-roll 1s, just select each of the 1s in turn and click Roll! If you're using "roll one extra and discard the lowest" system, then identify the lowest result for each stat and re-roll that one - if you get a lower number, then revert the roll (Ctrl-Z to undo). If you are rolling and assigning stats, then re-assign the dice by selecting the stat from the drop down in Column A. Column D keeps track of how many dice have been assigned to each stat, and the cell turns red if it is not the right number of dice for a human. If you are rolling extra dice and assigning, then pick numbers from the cells below B20 to replace the low results above. Only use the extra dice up to the number that you are allowed, so if you are rolling 25 dice then ignore the last die result. You can add more dice rows if you want, it should all be dynamic! If you want to protect your character against accidentally pressing the Roll! button and trashing their stats, then copy the resulting numbers in cells N2:N8 and use Crtl-Shift-V or Edit -> Paste Special -> Paste as Values. PhilHibbs 488 Report post Posted June 8, 2018 (edited) Just fixed a problem with the range of rolled dice, I didn't make it a new numbered version since it doesn't affect any formulae. The named range needs to be B2:B27 instead of B4:B27. Also I realised I need to add a slot for Reputation, just change one of the passions as a quick fix. Does not include game system bonuses, but there is space to note them down if you wish. Added highlight bars to skills to make it easier to see which one you are altering. Some layout changes to the CharSheet, including space for Reputation and Move Rate. I will add this to the top post as a new version when I have checked it isn't broken!
