Let’s see (pulls out note pad and pencil, opens notepad to a blank page, distractedly licks pencil tip.... eyes Puckohue suspiciously and begins to scribble furiously, notices Puckohue staring at him...).

“What... who me, nothing, nope, not doing nothing, nice day for a stroll, no? La la la la..."

Is there a way for me to make private notes on users, for my own reference?

Send a Message to yourself. Make the subject either the specific user or whatever. It'll go to your private Inbox and you can review whenever.

All private, no fuss, nothing additional required.

Oh, that's good, very simple too.

You might exceed your number of Messages, but you would have to write a lot of notes to do that.

If you get to that many people you're keeping notes on, you should get yourself a database to store them in! 😱

Did you know that you can quote multiple messages in one go? Did you know that you can quote messages from a previous page of a thread? The "+" button is here for you!

As you catch up with a thread, every time you see a post you want to quote, hit that plus button. As you keep reading, hit it again. It will accumulate multiple posts in a little floating widget on the bottom right:

The best thing about this widget is that it stays alive as you move from one thread page to the next!

Once you're ready to start typing your witty replies, hit that widget: it will add a quote section for each of the accumulated posts in your reply editor, with a little space in between each.

Oh no, you say: I have giant quoted areas, when I really wanted to quote a few bits here and there! Fear not: just click inside the quoted areas and edit them as usual. You can remove all that text except the one sentence that you want to reply to. If there were more than one sentence to reply to, isolate that thing, and hit "Enter" twice. The first time will add an empty line inside the quoted area, but the second time will cut the quoted area in two at that point. Yay! Now you should have exactly what you want in terms of quotations.

Has the spoiler tag gone? I can't seem to get it to work.

I don't think it is case sensitive, but you have to get the spelling right.

So, this works OK

[spioler]but this doesn't. [/spoiler]

It doesn't like multiple spoilers on a single page, as they bleed into each other.
