There's a nice Runequest lot at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150461592984&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT . It includes the 2nd edition and 3e Deluxe rules along with other stuff. The shipping is high, but even with it, the price isn't bad right now.

I got my copy today in the mail. Cool book. I'm conflicted on using MRQII or OpenQuest the next time I fantasy game, as I think both games are great.

You'd probably be best to just drop Common Magic (or make it something used by barbarians). Just divide up the Sorcery spells so their themes fit with the various Harn schools of magic. Trying to remake Harnmaster Magic exactly is a waste of time.

I have almost everything for Harn, but it took years, and cost more than I want to think about . It really is a great setting. I'm not really sold on the rules, though I own them.
I also agree that if you use the Harn pricelist, it should cover just anything except really weird Gloranthan style items.

Well, now that Pete the Author has "spilled the beans", I can add one more detail: barring direct intervention by Nyarlathotep himself, you will have BRP Rome available at Tentacles as a dead tree supplement (200 pp. or more). Non-tentacles attendees will have it available through Chaosium or as a PDF or POD by the same date. So you have yet one more reason to hurry up and book one of those last places available for Castle Stahleck.
That's what I call "third party support". Enough for you fans?
As much as I hate to say it, it is not. It would have been if this book and a few others had been published within a few months of BRP. As it is, I think BRP's chance at a resurgence is dead. Which stinks.

A number of books have been submitted to Chaosium, many over 6 months ago. So far, hardly anything has been published. Does anyone know what's going on?

I'd recommend Mongoose Runequest, which you can check out for free on their website, as it is OGL. They have a ton of good supplements out to support it, as well.
Of course, the politics on this board have most people crying about how Mongoose destroyed Runequest...

Hell no. Hit Locations was the one rule in Runequest that I absoluletly hated.
-
I'd like a generic "Greyhawk" style fantasy world. Not anything tied to any book series or license.
-
Fantasy, please. (Runequest with NO Glorantha would be great).
-
I think this might be a good area for someone to get into, even as a pdf series. I know I will buy any fantasy or military sf adventures that get published. (I may even attempt to publish something myself, depending on the license details).

Maybe have someone proofread the Basic RPG entry on the main page. The writer is confused between has and have.

WEll, I ordered $98 worth of Cthulhu stuff that I've been thinking of buying for a while now. Too bad Mountains of Madness is already gone, or it would have been on the list.
-
Malleus Monstrorum, if main rulebooks don't count. It's an amazing resource.
-
The Call of Cthulhu rulebook.
-
I plan on getting the Vikings supplement the day it is released.
-
Conan.
WWI.
WWII.
WWIII. (Twilight 2000 ish)
-
Wow, those are freaky.
-
I also don't want Chaosium to rush the end product, I just wasn't sure when it was scheduled for. In the meantime, I'm going to probably end up using either RQ3e or Dark Ages Cthulhu.

Just curious if anyone has heard anything yet. I'm hoping it's sometime in the next month, though, as I am looking to start a new campaign then.

Hi all! I've been playing Call of Cthulhu and Runequest since the mid 80's. My current fave is CoC Delta Green. I'm looking forward to the new rules.
