    Hm. That would involve...

    • User highlights the weapon attribute to change
    • Select a menu option "Amend weapon attribute"
    • Edit box pops up, populated with the existing attribute value (e.g. "1D8")
    • User edits the attribute and clicks OK
    • Code looks to the left, finds the weapon name
    • Looks for the name in the Weapons sheet
    • Figures out which column in the Weapons sheet corresponds to the amended column
    • Alters the value

All that is very much do-able. I will consider it!

As a safety feature I would also tick an "amended" column in the Weapons sheet, which would show up in CharGen, so that the user is aware that the weapon line has been altered.

That also helps in case a weapon is damaged or otherwise altered in negative ways as well.

Just curious - do you manually enter all the item data yourself, or is there some way you grab and format it?

    v1.9.10 Beta 7:

    • Fixed Centaur hit points per location according to latest Q&A clarifications.

If you are using an older version for a centaur character and don't want to use the transfer feature:

    1. Un-hide the Lookups sheet.
    2. Amend the range from AI7 to AR7, add 2 to all the numbers except AR7 (head) where you add 1.
    3. Optionally, hide the Lookups sheet.

Thanks! I amended the values and everything looks MUCH more correct.

IMG, the Dark Men are (by a substantial margin) the most-humanlike of the "main Sartar" nonhuman quartet - Aldryami/Uz/Dragonewt/Mostali.

The other 3 are far more alien / incomprehensible to most humans.

The Uz are also the most-likely to have "good relations" with human neighbors, courtesy of Argan Argar.  Sure, "The Dwarf" of Dwarf Run, and a few other specific situations, have some stand-out relationships; but outside those (few) specific places I expect more chafing and hostility between humans & Aldryami/Mostali as Uz (the 'newts stand out in that humans have more "just leave 'em alone" sentiment -- ignore & be ignored).

haha, likely true! I just wanted to make an awful pun.

  4. So let me start by saying I LOVE the generator. It's amazing!

I am making a centaur and had a couple questions though. I don't see any place for the horseshoe weapon that adds +1 dmg to hoof attacks.

But much bigger, I noticed in the bestiary that there's an inconsistency, and I'm not sure what the right answer is.

In the bestiary, the NPC centaur (page 31) average is listed as having 15 HP and their hit location HP is:

    Right Hind Leg 01–02 1/6
    Left Hind Leg 03–04 1/6
    Hindquarter 05–06 1/9
    Forequarter 07–08 1/9
    Right Foreleg 09–10 1/6
    Left Foreleg 11–12 1/6
    Chest 13–14 2/9
    Right Arm 15–16 2/6
    Left Arm 17–18 2/6
    Head 19–20 3/7

BUT on page 10 it gives this:

    Centaurs
    Right Hind Leg 01–02 4
    Left Hind Leg 03–04 4
    Hindquarter 05–06 6
    Forequarter 07–08 6
    Right Foreleg 09–10 4
    Left Foreleg 11–12 4
    Chest 13–14 6
    Right Arm 15–16 4
    Left Arm 17–18 4
    Head 19–20 6

This is also with 13-15 HP and instructs adding +1 for every 3 add'l HP.

So what's the correct deal? Do NPCs get special stat blocks, or is there something weird with the math somewhere?

There is a description in the Cults of Terror, and others published afterwards

Subterranean? Not really. They were driven to the surface from Hell. Granted Uz may feel more at home underground away from Yelm's sight, but are strong enought o deal with it. (and will eat those who are not).

Yeah, I know they're pretty xenophobic. Isn't their tagline "It's Uz or them!" 😄

Nysalor should not be a surprise. Elves have a long and deep connection with this Light cult.

Mallia [mother of Disease] ... she is not always associated with Chaos. I can certainly see elves chosing this cult as a weapon which would threaten meat sacks, but has no effect on plants.

Seven Mothers ... only traitors or Moon Elves (shamless plug here as I am currently working on that supplement for JC)

What book is he in? I know I read his cult info and now cannot find it for the life of me!

    yes you can !

keep in mind (but it depends on the gm) that an aldryami is .. an aldryami. Trolls hate them, dwarves hate them, a lot of human despise or fear or hate them.

After all a human farmer who is not an elf friend  will see you as the "people" who want to destroy his field, his herd, his house... to plant a wild forest, a forest where he will not be welcomed.

So in fun play that is not an issue, in more "realistic" one it brings you some difficulties if you want to interact with other (depends on the settings of course).

That issue (if you play it) is not only an elf issue, it is for any people and races. There are memories of war, there are beliefs (or truth) of "barbarian attitudes" (look these trolls I've heard they steal babies the nights and eat them - which may be true by the way 😛 , look these praxians, they are not able to harvest their lands, and they kill horses... look this lunar, look this orlanthi, etc...)

Oh, I'm aware. I played an Aldryami for years back in the day and I was fine with some anti-Uz vibes, lol.

  8. So, my apologies if there's a thread for this already. I looked for one and searched all the key terms I could think of, but didn't see anything.

Are there any timelines for official materials related to other cults from previous editions / character creation for non-human characters?

I know there's an awesome spreadsheet with lots of these options, but I'm not sure where the stat blocks come from.

Any answers would be welcome, and awesome.

    Thanks!
