At the moment, I'm running a Chaos themed dark ages game. The players are members of barbarian tribes, trying to topple a Rome-like Empire by making shady deals with the Chaos gods.
Its nice and gritty.

The animated shorts in the end of Neo Getter Robo Versus Shin Getter Robo had them all pretty much the same size, save for Gloizer X ( SP?) and Shin Getter Robo, which was a bit bigger I think. I've not seen this electronic Manga though...
Hmm, looking at the size maximums, I think robots like Daitarn 3 and Gunbuster are out out of the question.
-
Grendizer is supposed to be a good deal larger then Mazinger Z or Great Mazinger- though this is thrown out the window in both the crossover movies he is featured in.
-
Oh my god, this is fantastic! I love Mazinger Z!
MAZIN GO!
P.S: Do you think you could do Grendizer next?
-
Ha, reminds me a lot of the old Japanese Giant Robot shows I enjoy.
It seems like it could be a really fun game. Running the robot once it had combined may be a bit of a challenge though. Mekton Zeta had some hints discussing that, but most of them were common sense.

Judges narrow the selections down to five in each a a dozen or so categories. Once they have chosen nominees those are up for popular vote to determine a winner.
Alright, that explains my confusion, then.
-
And we have one possible judge on our side now? That's always good! :thumb:
SGL.
I did not realize the Ennies were done by judges! For some reason, I thought it was popular vote. ^^;
Well, I'd still vote for it, if given the chance.

Killing dangerous animals horribly.Splitting watermelons.
I stand corrected.
-
I'd vote for it, given the chance.
-
Its kind of scary- a lot of knives can also be used as tools. I have to wonder what point this knife has besides killing someone horribly...

I agree with both Ars and Fun Guy. I also agree with Ars also that its probably one of the parts that makes being the GM Fun.

Not a big fan of patching rules issues with GM interventionism, personally.
I find that people's preference on this subject is generally pretty varied. The idea has never bothered me, but at the same time, I've been a near perpetual DM/GM for my gaming life. I could very well be biased.

The GM (or a Muse, or an Epiphany, or Divine Inspiration, or a Brain Fart, etc.) said, "Dude, you get this skill/stat rating, k?"
I find most questions can be answered with "The GM said so".
To quote Martha Stewart- "Its a good thing."

Actually, it reverted back to Green Ronin - sort of. Chris Pramas createdDragonfist - it was a precursor to the whole d20 boom, using an early
version of the core rules - kind of the bridge between AD&D2 and D&D3.
So, Chris bought the rights back back in 2002, and GR had planned to
release it in 2003. Interesting, GR just announced they will not support
D&D4 ...
I have a copy lying around somewhere.

Huh, I didn't know about that. Well, you learn something new every day!
-
Rules wise, it seems like it would be a pretty simple fix ( People with the martial arts skill and the Martial arts super power, stuff like that ) and probably around Epic level.
If you can find it, the Dragonfist rpg might not be a bad research tool. It was intially a free download at WoTC's site, but I think Green Ronin picked up the licsense recently.

I'm sure you'll fit right in - cool handle, BTW!
Thanks! Its nice to be among people who understand it. I use it on my STEAM account, and am occasionally reffered to as "Negative Taco" by people on the voice chat.
I already love reading the threads here, everyone seems pretty well versed and thoughtful. I think I'll continue to peruse while I'm supposed to be working. :innocent:

Honestly I was more heartbroken after seeing Superman Returns...
My feelings are more or less the same, though I feel the need to add that the "Super Stalker" scene kind of bugged me too.
I really wanted to like the movie, since Singer seemed to "get" Superman in all the interviews he gave, but I should have seen it coming when the first pictures of the costume were released.
-
I wish I could add something, but everything I would have mentioned has already been stated.
Still, I wanted to post here to say that I think this is a really cool idea for a game!

Hey, I finally managed to get registered, so I figured I'd say hey.
While I'm mainly an old School D&D'er, I like to play a variety of games and BRPG is probably one of my favourites. While I've unfourtunatly not been able to play a lot of it in recent years ( With the Exception of CoC) heres to hoping my brand new BRPG book changes that. I've already got a couple of games in mind...
Anyway, I hope I can contribute a bit to the conversation here.
BRP in the Ennies?

Maybe we are just odd, but the lethality was actually a selling point of the game for my group. I guess we just like a challenge.
