I remember, back in the Before Times, there was a program for Hero Wars that showed the outcome of contests and you could enter the players and their skill levels etc.  It would be handy for my HQ2 campaign but the author has not worked on it for years. I wonder if (with the author's permission ofc) I could use ChatGPT to update it?

How would you model the shields from Dune? Just a normal Ability?

Having players roll for things willy-nilly in advance is a bad idea. It screws with the GM's flow and can lead to needless backtracking and retconning of results.

Good stuff. Love the FS setting.

Having sadly lost a few players along the way, I hope it's okay to ask here if anyone would be interested in a play-by-mail Fading Suns campaign.

There are a few npc's that could be taken over - or new pc's can be introduced. We're using HeroQuest 2 rules with the odd tweak here and there.
