I can't find any conversion rules in the downloads section on this site when I look. But a separate search online brought up this https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:uULwegKjjQUJ:basicroleplaying.com/downloads.php?do%3Dfile%26id%3D85%26act%3Ddown%26actionhash%3Dguest+MRQ+to+BRP+conversion+rules&hl=en&gl=uk&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEEShQ3zO04GNdpEdv19Cu5K76Hy98pPaxYwNx9g3D2D66wyLN3kTQc2oR6cGGHFNmoOMGwxvL65zvRvnQOk9QBuAYNvNlgiHszgxDbJgXR1EY71PXe1kFJx7btIUkpPRE5EFUN3h9&sig=AHIEtbTvouUycu_ksRU3sKy4fIUQx2P2LA

I have some Mongoose Runequest Hawkmoon supplements and I am thinking about converting them to BRP to use in my post apocalyptic mutant game. Do you have any hints or tips on converting Mongoose rules and NPCs to the rules in the big BRP book?
-
Do you have Hawkmoon first edition? A review of it mentions that there is a short timeline of the Tragic millenium - 2100 to 2842 AD. Can you tell me more about it? I am running a post apocalyptic setting based on Gamma World rpg, and the two BRP scenarios Escape From The Slavelands and Dwelling Of The Ancients. I am thinking about adding Hawkmoon's Narleen into the game and would like to know more about the Tragic Millenium to add detail to the game.

Doctor Fu Manchu
The insidious Dr Fu is detailed in the new Cthulhu by Gaslight, complete with stats.

How would you stat up Arthur Machen/Robert Howard/George McDonald style "little people"? Things That Were Once Men, they have dwindled in size (or SIZ) during their long subterranean exile but have increased in ferocity, decadence, and occult knowledge. They may not even look very human anymore (it varies by author and story) but are much stronger than their child-like statures would suggest. But they still like human women (or men, depending on the fairy's gender).
These have been given a write up in the new Cthulhu by Gaslight.

Well, it does if you want them to be smaller than a cat. If they're sprites, nixies, pixies, brownies or whatnot their SIZ should probably reflect that.
Found this in Miskatonic yesterday and thought of you.
Thank you Chaot. These are very useful to me.

Sling 30%, eh? So it's not pixie dust, after all. It's the stars that you see when you get bonked between the eyes!
I'm sure that they get a bonus for surprise attack while invisible.
-
Depending on the fey in question, SIZ of 1d6 would make for a mighty big fairy. I'm pretty sure a cat is pegged at SIZ 1.
When it comes to fairies does SIZ matter? Especially when they are invisible?

Have a happy Cthulhumas. And a Nyarlathotep new year.

There is nothing that even looks like a fairy in CoC V.
In CoC fifth edition there are stats for pixies. See Rpgstarwizard's post for the stats, which he has kindly reproduced.

pixie actually
STR2d4 con 3d6 siz 1d6 int 3d6 pow 2d6+6 dex 4d6 app3d6 move 3/10 flying sling 30% 1d8 they are naturally invisible
Thanks for posting these statistics. The members at Yog sothoth kindly did so as well, but left out the fact that these critters are naturally invisible.

Never seen fairies in CoC, but I've never owned any ruleset past v1.
Merrie England has stats for several types of Fey Folk, for medieval Europe, but could be used anywhere.
If not, you could use the stats for Pixies, as they are pretty much the little, winged mischievous fairies.
Is Merrie England for BRP or is it for RQ? I need more information on different types of Fey so I will have a look at Merrie England but don't want too much game conversion problems.

Hiya all.
Some years ago a friend loaned me his copy of Call of Cthulhu, fifth edition. I am sure that it had stats for fairies in it. I'm hopiing to put these critters into a game. But can't find them in the sixth edition of the game. Is my memory correct, or did I confuse it with another chaosium game?

Ethereal thank you. Since my players are loving this post apocalyptic game I am tempted to get the first edition Hawkmoon and try to fit my game into its universe.
