It's in the Lightbringers volume (and comes complete with a seriously badass depiction of our favorite god of dourly serious, death-dealing.)
Oh excellent! I’ll buy it today 👍

Does anyone know which cult book will have the Humakt write up? Thanks.

This is the one I’ve been most looking forward t!o! Not a fan of the cover though.

Honestly, the simplicity of that character sheet is the thing that’s making me almost buy this. And the pretty foliage around Greg Stafford’s name. I’m starting to recall why I liked Pendragon all those years ago. The beautiful folklore, subtle ethereal magic, yearning, sadness, beauty. So different from Glorantha which is almost pungent with magic and trippy. Hmm, I think I’ll get this after I recover from buying my massive fridge!

“Cults”
I like it.
Back in the day “Cults” of Prax caused a bit of a (glorious) hoo-ha.
Own it, I say.
The word is part of the Runequest heritage and there’s something about it that is so much more exciting and gutsy than “Religions of Runequest” or “Gods of Runequest”.It gets my attention.

These look amazing. I like this approach of lots of books for the different groups of cults. This is more likely to attract newcomers too.
looking forward to the mythology book.
Runequest is going to feel much more Runequesty with these! What a beautiful collection this will be.

I wouldn’t use Runequest for Tolkien. Quest Worlds for The Hobbit atmosphere and Pendragon (adapted) for Silmarillion atmosphere. LOTR is more tricky.

A strange Frenchman once called him "Mr Suitcase" in a ranty missive on the intertubes, and the name amused us so it stuck. I can't be arsed to dig out the moment the label was applied to Rick, but if you dig around this post in the timeline you'll probably find it.

Monsieur Valise it is then.

I reckon the cults book should have been the number one priority. RQG feels like only half a game to me atm. The cults are essential to play it properly. I suspect that Chaosium do see it as the priority but other projects are just coming to completion more quickly. I have no doubt it’s going to be big and beautiful when it’s done.

Once you are going to rewrite history so that no one can feel unwelcome based on their identity, why stop at women? What about people of other races or sexual orientations who can feel displaced by the sexist, racist and homophobic society of that time shown in the game? Including women is right, but not African Americans? It seems odd.
What are the criteria?
I mean, women existed in Britain at the time. African American’s (and, in the wider world, America) didn’t.
If a “dude” rocks up from 6th century Africa I’m pretty sure everyone around here would give him/her/them the thumbs up for a knighthood into the round table. And if one of the artists were ever to portray that I think it’d be fully appreciated by this community. You are making issues out of thin air.

Sorry to hear that. Recent decision, or old one, if I could ask?
Oh it’s been many years since I played Pendragon. I had the first edition with the beautiful cover painting (and a few later editions). The game is a thing of total beauty. A work of art. These days I’m just running games for my daughters and their friends and they are more into Glorantha. I find the Pendragon news more interesting than Runequest news - but Runequest is the game I’ll be using.

Not sure if I’ll be going back to Pendragon but I love the write up and I can’t wait to read more!

Loved Tradetalk!

I don’t care whether it’s a game tool or a novel, I’d just love to read Greg Stafford’s story, however fragmentary it is!

I do like these “picture maps”. They create a great atmosphere like the picture on the Pavis box. But am I the only one that also wants some proper, flat, top down maps? They are more useful in a game.
Not complaining about these maps - I do love them and think they’re awesome. They’re just a bit less useful than a flat map.

Dude can seriously juggle a thousand projects.

Omg, this looks amazing. Any hints about what’s going on with The Rainbow Mounds? Love the colours added to Rainbow Mounds map but it’s a shame people won’t be colouring it in themselves, like we all had to, to solve the mystery of the spectrum emanating adamantine pillar!

The thing is, they were making their best stuff when they were still having those “sharing meetings”.....

Mouse Guard in Pendragon?
in Pendragon & Prince Valiant

I think it would be very cool. But you’d have to change the “Knights” (aka mice) from being highly over-powered in their world to being very weak and vulnerable in their world. It will all be about wits and teamwork rather than strength and honour. I think it could fit pretty well - though I can’t help thinking that Questworlds would be a better fit.
