Just came across this in a post on rpg.net It installs under Linux with Wine, but I haven't tried it yet.
Nice, now who wants to create the Character Sheet for use with this?
-
So what is a social Forum exactly?
-
-
Sounds great, hope you have it out soon.
-
Nice pdf. Thank you.
-
Funny, I prefer right hand page navigation. I like the layout as it is now.
-
I took all of the questions and answers from this thread and created a new wiki page with the consolidated list. It can be found here: http://basicroleplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166
Unfortunately I wanted to format it better and maybe arrange things into catagories, but I don't have the access to edit it.
Also, I am not sure how to link it (or where) from the main wiki site...
Help?
You should be Happy I think Triff did get some security in place I can't edit the Wiki at all.
-
Never noticed the links on the navbar, silly me was trying to find it from the front page, thank you for putting a link on the front page.
-
Where is the wiki?
-
But the old one was also limited to registered users weren't it?
The thing is that I've heard that users of this wiki-forum software have been troubled with spam, maybe even more so than mediawikis. By setting some sort of posting requirement first, bots can't get at it, and most "hackers" wouldn't bother.
SGL.
No it wasn't anyway could post without having an account, that was what all the spam was from.
-
No it should be limited to registered users, which is what we are doing with the new MRQ wiki, and have not had an issue yet.
-
You are right. I feel the same. I reduced my presence on this forum too (and the SJG forum too) because it doesnt pay off. So many annoying people.
I stopped visiting those forums on a constant basis more than a year ago. I was so tired of the people bashing on every RPG.
-
Yes. At this point my reaction to any poll here is to ignore it.
That has been my reaction to most polls on all forums I have ever been on.
-
EDIT: By the way, is there anyone who would object to that anything posted in the forum could be added to the wiki? Maybe I should add a sticky post with rules & information...
One thing I have always thought was anything posted on a public forum is technically Open Content at that point. However I have always asked if I could use someones work either on my personal Wiki or the other Wikis I tend to frequent.

Interesting, I have never seen a Wiki tied into a Forum before. So any where I can go to learn about this type of Wiki?
-
Then here you go http://trigan.com/trigan.htm

I have mixed feelings. What, exactly, is the dude with the toy bow supposed to be?
I am guessing the Generic Fantasy character.

THere were quite a few little companies that used rto produce good stuff back then. Most still exist in some sort of undead state. Judges Guild being another one, and one that would be of interest to RQ/BRP fans.
Judges Guild seems to be focusing on D20 right now, maybe they can persuaded to do other systems also.

FGU (Fantasy Games Unlimited) was the Mohammad Ali of game companies. They put out soe seriously kickass games.
Wild West, Bushido, Aftermath, Flashing Blades, Privateers & Gentlemen, Space Opera, and Villains & Vigilantes (proof that not even Babe Ruth can hit them out of the park every time).
You forgot what I consider their best game ever Daredevils.

What? You didn't use FUTURE WORLD???!!:D:D
Burn the heretic!
I am sorry to say while I have seen Future World, I have never played it, only RQ3 With Lord Twig.
-
I would like to apologize, as everyone knows it is sometimes hard to read in what way a post was written and can be misread, as I did.

So that makes what, ONE adventure for a system that they have been publishing for over a year? While producing how many sourcebooks?
Allow me to update my previous statement:
"....It could be a useful way to tap all those MRQ groups. Especially since Mongoose publishes virtually no MRQ adventures."
So am I to understand this will be a forum that will do nothing but bash on other game systems or companies that are not Chaosium? There is no need for such behavior.
All I was trying to do was point out that there is at this time one Adventure and possibly more coming out later.
-
Plus campaign packs have a higher attraction for conversion to other systems, meaning more sales. It could be a useful way to tap all those MRQ groups. Especially since Mongoose doesn't seem to publish MRQ adventures.
Not true Blood of Orlanth is an adventure that is coming out soon. http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/home/detail.php?qsID=1418&qsSeries=
d100rules is coming...

Is there a link to a website for this?
