  1. Umm... ok thanks for that .... but I cant seem to find it in their downloads ... could you give me a direct link to this?
  2. Good morrow, My and my group are going to play BRP for the first time this weekend we are not totally new to it since we have been playing an Icelandic system witch is really similar to BRP. But has not evolved since it came out in 1994 and we have been playing it on and off since 1994 so we have grown a bit tired of it by now. BUT.... one of the group has been playing World of Warcraft for quite some time and really loves the Druid there... and he wants to be a Druid in BRP or some one pretty similar to it. What would be the best way of going by this?
  3. Ok ... there is one thing... did I understand it correctly if you attack someone and he/she is going to dodge/parry does the player (which is getting attacked) get a -30% to his/her dodge/parry if the attack is successful?
  4. Hi there, I am new to BRP and have been playing a very simelar system but the way the combat works is totally different... so if I got this straight 1 comband round is 12 sec. and there are 25 combat rounds in a game turn. But what I am not clearly getting is how many dex rounds are there in each combat round? or do I just count down each players dex and npc's dex until they are finished and start the next combat round? I have not read through the whole book so bear with me ... And also it states that some weapons may let you do more that one attack in each combat round ... but as I understand you must have also higher dex to be aible to do so .. am I correct? and when a sword states that you can only attack once each round but you have lets say 18 DEX are you not allowed to do more attacks? And another thing ... how do you guy's keep track with each combat round? in the system I play we have a peace of paper with a grid on where we wright each PC and NPC when they attack etc... what have you guy's done to help you keep track when game mastering?
  5. Ahh ... ok that's pretty clever ... I think I get it now thanx
  6. ... what the basic way's are to find out when players are suppostu strike... I just bought the New BRP book from chaoism. And I really don't get how the combat works.. :S I play an old icelandic system witch is really simelar to BRP but there each Action round is 1 sec and you get a number witch is found out by adding upp your dex and weapon and if your armor slow's you down. But I find it really to complicated in the icelandic system and want to adapt the one from BRP cause I tought it was simpler... But I just really cant fathom it Each round is 12 sec. but in the icelandic it is 1 sec and there fore lets say you have a really quick assassin and he does an attack each 2 seconds and maybe you have a warrior wich does an attach each 12 seconds so your assassin does 6 attacks before your warrior does ... witch is pretty un balanced since we made new charakters last week and our assassin was really a better "tank" than the warrior cause damage per second and his parry odds where much grater than the warr.... so if some one can put it quite simple to me how best it would for us to adapt the BRP combat system to our icelandic one witch like I said is really simelar forinstance I can take most creatures from the BRP and use them in the icelandic one with out making allot of alternations.
  7. Me and my mates are playing this weekend with 8 players and on GM ofcourse. I am pretty sure that it is way to much since only 4 of us know the system pretty well and have been playing a bit the last few months. while the rest of the group have not played at all for about 6 years or so. How big are your groups ingeneral?
  8. heh.. jeah we taught about that. But I think most of us can handle that. The best thing is having npc's of other friends and foes witch we can have a laugh about
  9. Me and my friend just had a brilliant idea yesterday. We where going over the BRP rule book and the Call of Cthulhu 1990 rule book. And wondered how it would be if we where to make our selfs as charakters and swap them around the group. That is I would not play my self but a friend I think it could be a fun thing to try have the setting in our home town and none of us have any "usefull" skills for the game Has any one done some thing like that?
