  1. The last time I ran MoN, my group wanted to bring rifles and pistols with them.  I gave them the same instructions I described.  They were on good terms with a Police Chief, who wrote them the letter.  UK customs still denied them as when asked why they needed them, they responded "for self protection".  The customs official then asked what activities that they had planned that required that sort of protection, to which they gave general visiting and such.  The customs official denied them since he felt you shouldn't need guns for just visiting.

  2. I seem recall to recall reading that if a person had a letter of good reference from a law enforcement authority in the US, and the Constable (Chief Constable perhaps) in the UK found things acceptable, the person may be allowed to being a firearm into the country.  The Constable could deny for most any reason they saw fit, so really there's a slim chance of legally bringing firearms into the UK.

  3. I usually limit starting skills to 75%, except Own Language.  As nclarke has said, firearms are not always effective against Mythos creatures.  Maybe suggest to the player not to do so, or enforce a skill cap.  I would not explain the firearms may not be useful, let that be determined through experience.

A common misspelling of metoh-kangmi in the 1920s was "metch-kangmi" which is how I'd spell it in the transcript.

I'd probably go with the interviewer saying something like "the natives of the Himalayas refer to you as the metch-kangmi. Is that your race's name?" "If you say so."

    Correct.

I prefer that exchange myself as well.

  5. Wouldn't Mi-Go be a human term for the denizens of Yuggoth?  Many know that Lovecraft's possible source of the word is the Yeti legend of the Himalayan mountains.

There are many other names for the Yeti, depending on the local dialect.

    • Migu, Migoi
    • Mi-teh
    • Mi-reh
    • Chu-reh
    • Dzu-teh
    • Meh-teh
    • Bun Manchi
    • Metoh-Kangmi

There are a few more as well.

Rather than the Mi-Go identifying itself as such, it could state something along "We've been known as Mi-reh, Dzu-teh, Metoh-Kangmi..." particularly since it was captured in the Himalayans, it would likely be familiar with the locals.

  6. Episode 1, pg. 8.  Pasquallium Ore, Crystal System.  I believe it should be written as 6/m 4 3/m.

Episode 1, pg. 29. Text box for Deputy Cutter's Cult Artifacts.  The box has the description for the Horn of the Black Goat first, then has what appears to be the statistics for the Mi-Go Disc Books, and then the description for the Mi-Go Disc Books.  Should the statistics appear after the disc book description?
