  1. My years on the World of Darkness incline me to write 7***, but I’m prepared to believe that’s an idiosyncrasy. I do like 7+3M a lot, and yes, I’d much rather not divide. The stroke I had some years ago and the autonomic nervous trouble I’m having now both important what was already fairly weak mental math ability. I will go some lengths to avoid multiplying and dividing when not absolutely necessary.

  2. It's been long enough since I downloaded from GitHub that I need a reminder, I'm afraid. How can I download an actual RTF file rather than this? Thanks in advance; I know I'll feel foolish when I get the answer.

  3. This is really good stuff, Shawn. Thanks!

Has anyone done a discussion of the possibilities in allocating bonus points to traits? I'm thinking of questions like...

    1. Is it a good idea, in general, to put at least A points and/or less than B points to the concept and other highest trait? What sets up characters well; what is probably going to leave to other traits being under-powered?

    2. Same kind of thing for other traits. What should I expect as a player when putting traits up against moderate and other difficulties?

This is stuff I used to be able to manage intuitively and easily, but fallout from an autoimmune disorder gave me a bit of dyscalculia along with some other learning disabilities, so I struggle with it now, and I didn't feel like I could give players good guidance of the sort I might do with White Wolf/Onyx Path games about specialization versus broad coverage, or whatever.

Shadow weakness? Nay! The twin tragedies of the Eldar are Hubris and Fate.

I'm hearing this in the voice of the woman at Bob's Country Bunker in The Blues Brothers. "We got both kinds - we got hubris, an' fate!"

Who is this mysterious Zzabur of which you speak?

A small indie magician some of us are really into. You probably haven't heard of him, he's pretty obscure.

    :)

(The alternative answer on a blog I read where people go to trolling each other with quotes from and about Slavoj Zizek would be "a Slovenian philosopher", which, really, would be just the shakeup the stodgy peoples of Genertela need.)

  6. Someone may already have brought this up, but if so I missed it, and my apologies. I personally don't like having to choose between in-play use and character development out of the same pool of points, and have long used an idea I saw on RPG Net years ago: once you spend a hero point in play, then it joins a pool of experience points available for use in character development. Since hero points do double duty in this system, you tune awards down.
