I have really only played Runequest but the older versions. We mixed this in with Legend as the version we played was extremely dated. Just bought Roleplaying In Glorantha to try get to a more modern gaming era.

I’m 33 from the UK. I enjoy casual Roleplaying. Wish I had the chance to play more regularly. Don’t know any other games than Runequest when it comes to RPG’s.

  1. That clears up what I needed thank you. But it raises another question.. So with a successful parry, does the arm always take the remaining damage or the hit location rolled by the attacker? Also, at what point does the shield break? When total HP are at 0 or double the total HP? Guess we've never updated our books for years and play old school rules
  2. Can someone please clear this up for me. At what point does a shield/parrying weapon take damage to total HP? If a shield had 10AP and 10HP and the attacker rollers 15 damage. 10 damage is reduced for AP. But does the remaining 5 damage come off the shield HP or go through to the player armour? Does the shield lose 5 total HP? Or just 1 for the damage doing over its AP? Also the same question for the new Roleplaying in Glorantha as I just bough the book and noticed it does have AP on shields. So how would this affect Total HP in combat.
