Pulp Luck Refresh

Pg 62 of Pulp Cthulhu states that the luck recovery roll occurs "at the start of each session of play".  I've just started running a group on Two Headed Serpent that plays for 2 hours a week and while I'm not against having them roll to see if they can get 2D10+1 that often, I"m wondering if others have any experience to share?    Thanks.

For a 2-hour session I'd reduce it to just 1d10, unless the PCs are spending Luck fast and furiously.
