I've been involved in tabletop gaming since I was 10, when I started attending a D&D 2.0 campaign at my local game shop. I learned to DM with my not-so-into-it family first, then, as I grew up, got my friends into it too.
Once I'd fallen about as far down the D&D rabbit hole as you can go (without getting into the endless homebrew and 3rd party content), I started branching out to other systems as well, running in Unknown Armies, WoD, d20 Modern, Fate, and BESM, as well as shorter, just-for-funsies games in Monsterhearts or Fiasco. I usually learned a new system when I came up with a campaign idea that the systems I already knew wouldn't support well, forcing me to branch out further.
That's how I wound up here, actually. My latest campaign idea just won't work well in the systems I know, and a DM buddy of mine suggested I check out BRP. It's not perfect, but it has both the flexibility I love and the structure I'll need. It also just gives me a great scaffold to work off of, particularly as I get more used to it.

I'm an easygoing, whimsical guy with a flair for the dramatic. I did improv theater for 10 years growing up, which has made its way into both my life and my gaming style. I play for the character growth, and I DM to see what people will do in difficult situations (and tell a kickass story, but that's beside the point). I'm also pretty into video games, though between work and my master's program I don't exactly have a lot of time anymore.
This is hands-down my favourite character sheet, and having it in word format has just made it a dream. I can modify it quickly and easily, with a minimum of fuss, to fit whatever campaign I like. No Heavy Machinery? Fine! Strike it from the sheet! There's no Sanity bar, just a Nightmare metre? Easily changed!
This is just wonderful. Thank you!
