Klingt vom Titel her, als sei es vom Hintergrund auch in den Neuen Reichen spielbar. Ist das so oder eher nicht mehr oder weniger als andere fantasyabenteuer auch?

There is no need for any apology. All mistakes a extremely minor. I see worse in any homework or class test I have to correct, even in finishing classes.

And as long someone does not goes out of his way to insult or ridicule someone's else's culture etc. everybody should stay calm and just assume: An honest and innocent mistake.

But as I said: Very minor, stylistic errors. Just wanted to make a good text better.

Please note that I did correct one of the handwritten "corrections" of my fellow Germans.

Basically a good text. Some small mistakes:

"Heute war es herrlich."

"Gefahr laufen" instead of "gefahr laufen"

"was wir bisher erfahren haben ", not "gelernt" (we Germans don't learn something (except in school), we get to know something)

"Ich habe vor ein paar Stunden zu warten, in der Hoffnung, dass sie verschwunden sind." (not gegangen).

The text is supposed to be from 1919, so it should be "daß" (ß = Sz) instead of the modern "dass".

"Ich werde etwas Schmuck sammeln und dann fliehen" - Not wrong per se, but I guess, since the writer is going to grab stuff and run, he would have written:

"Ich werde etwas Schmuck zusammensuchen und dann zu fliehen versuchen." He is not "collecting" jewelry, he is deciding what is most valuable and then trying to make a run for it, I suppose.

But all in all no bad mistakes.

I actually down understand the arguing: Die Schwarze Sonne is a symbol imbedded in the Obergruppenführersaal of the Wewelsburg. It is certainly not the invention of Stephan Mögle-Stadel who used it for his book published in 1991.

There are even achaelogical finds in Verucchio in Italy from the 7th and 8th century before Christ and from the Alamans from the times of the Merowingians (6th century AD). So it is way older than Naziism.

The symbol which is a real one and that you can find in the Gruppenführersaal, a special hall in the Wewelsburg intended for meetings of Gruppenführer (SS-Generals) is called Schwarze Sonne; Die Schwarze Sonne if you want to use it with an article.

Just because we like compounds words does not mean that you can just put everything together. 😉

And Nachtwölfe it is - there is an umlaut in the plural form: der Nachtwolf - die Nachtwölfe.

A question that has bothered me as long as I have played CoC: How does a character "signal" that he is inventing Magic Points in a ritual, item or spell? It sometimes says in a describtion "If a charcter spends 3 MPs then this or that happens".

How does this work in "real" life? Does the Professor of Occultism concentrate and let it flow into the magical dagger? What if teh dagger is not magical and cannot "receive" the spend MPs? Does our professor know that? Does he reckon that his "magical" dagger is not magical at all and thet the antiques seller sold him a fake?

Or do you just say:

"My character wants to send 6 MPs into the dagger.

- "Ain't working. It's just some piece of cutlery!"

"Oh that antiques salesman - damn his eyes!"

I would either use the +1, +2 etc rule or variable AP like Elric!/Sturmbringer with te helemt also giving a plus to AP. Why? Becaus if you use Helmet AP like you outlined lying down might even be bad for a character againt missiles because all of the sudden he my be less likely to hit because of the cover but for some strange reason all the hits are headshots and the rest of the armor (also protectimg his shoulders, upper chest, arms) are good for nothing and he is none the better off than a guy in a t-shirt.

Granted, helmets are a good protection against shrapnels but even today a helmet cannot withstand a direct hit by a bullet if said bullet is not soemwhat glanced off by the roundness of the helmet.

I would use random AP with a bonus for the helmet 8 (or a -1 if the suit of armor is lacking a helmet).

Being good at what you do does not qualify you to teach it to others. Of course, you should be knowedgeable about your subject as a teacher but Einstein would probably have failed at teaching 8th graders. On the other hand, an 8th grade physics teacher would most likely be a lousy Ersatz-Einstein. 😉

Yep, I ran Robinson Gruesome in a One Shot for my oldest friend (know him from before kindergarten), like me a roleplaying veteran (whe started gaming together in 1983 and are still playing in the same group as the founding members). Great adventure, great fun. He even survived and managed to kill the Big Deepie ... barely.

I like the other secnarios, too, but hadn't had the chance to run them yet.
