Thanks so much, Jason! I think my daughter will love this. She was Princess Leia for Halloween last year.

Hi,
I was just corresponding with a friend, and it occurred to me that my copy of the old FASA Star Trek RPG might port nicely to BRP. I wondered if anyone has already done something like that. And then, my crazed imagination wondered if someone has done something for Star Wars! As a dad with little time but an imaginative daughter, I was hoping someone had already done the work for me, and we could enjoy a father/daughter game of BRP!
So, if anyone has anything to share, we'd be extremely grateful!
Thx,
Baron Greystone

Alas, I too am ignorant, and only speak English. I saved the PDF and hope some kind soul will translate it someday...

Well, best wishes in your endeavors, Fergo. I'll check back now and again to see what's new on the project.

Hope that gives some better idea of where I am heading with it. My notes for that chapter are currently all over the shop, but when I have finished the Free Peoples chapter, Magic will be the next one I tackle. :thumb:
It sounds pretty good, although I'm not familiar with the Decipher spells. I like the singing, and the runes. Looking forward to the chapter when it's done.
The dwarf and Noldor write-ups were also very satisfying, thanks.

The whole magic system is currently in a flux right now but basically you will have a set of magical specialities that are a characters magic skills, like in the new BRP magic system.
As for the spells themselves, I really like Deciphers LoTR spell lists and have been toying with manipulating them over to BRP.

Hi, I think the work you're doing should produce a really playable ME version of BRP. But I too have the most interest in the magic system and how well it reflects the feel of ME, while still being an appealing rp'ing experience.
I haven't seen Decipher, although the reviews I read led me to think it wasn't a good match as far as the magic system went. And although I own boxes of ICE products, the system was just too clunky for me.
So, I'm very grateful for your efforts, and will await your magic notes. Got to pick up the new BRP book anyway, and I'll check out their magic system.
PS: I was a big fan of RQ2's feel and its magic, but not really a match for ME.
