  1. Brand new post! Chaosium's All The Worlds’ Monsters (1977-81) predates the AD&D Monster Manual by a few months. These compendiums were meant for any RPG system, and Runequest conversion notes appeared later. The ATWM books went through some printing changes over the years. Details and pics over at my old school RPG photoblog. Enjoy! -Wayne

  2. Horror on the Orient Express (1991) is a very busy set. This epic, continent-spanning campaign box for Call of Cthulhu RPG is jam-packed with player handouts. Over the years, parts get lost, making for headaches in the collector market. I deep-dive into a complete set, with pics of everything at my photoblog. Enjoy! -Wayne

  3. King Arthur's Knights is so old school it was released back when Chaosium was "The Chaosium". A fun little boardgame in Arthurian England, fighting opponents and finding romance. Another of those early games that's a short step from being an RPG. Meints' Out of the Suitcase blog post on KAK was a very helpful primary source.

  4. With Pavis and Big Rubble sets passing through the shop, I made a post today introducing these classic Runequest boxes to a wider D&D audience. They really are a pair, and I love that Chaosium graphically matched the sets. More photos over at my blog post.

  5. Over at my blog, I've added a follow-up to my post on the classic Chaosium Ringworld RPG.  The original RW set was packed, so full that material had to be removed for space reasons. And so the Ringworld Companion (1984) was published separately with all the missing information. Together, they represent one of the largest-scale RPG settings ever. Lots of art and data that would appeal to fans of the original scifi fiction series by Larry Niven.

  6. 9 minutes ago, David Scott said:

One note, the GW map is printed slightly smaller than the Chaosium one. This means it doesn't match up with the Dagori Inkarth map in Trollpak (if you haven't tried, they join up).

Yes good point. I noted the measurements as 15½” x 23¼” (UK), vs. 20″ x 30″ (US), and - like the Game Workshop book - the GW maps is of a glossier paper stock.
