So I would expect only the dwarves could afford molten lead, and in most cases it is more efficient and clean to use steam or dwarf fire (like Greek fire, but in Glorantha), or if surprised, shrapnel bombs, so damage to the stonework is low
I imagine gustbran cultist would have access to heat metal spell so any place with a forge is liable to be able to utalize molten metal in general

think molten lead wasn't that common either - lead isn't cheap and you need a lot of combustible to melt it.
Even if it wasn't common in the real world considering the existence of the heat metal spell I could see it being used in glorantha

Bloody tusk is an earth cult? I know pigs are associated with earth but what are the other connections?
-
I can think of an explanation as to why the praxians wouldn't use them to herd. Praxians herd beasts really don't like dogs/predators and either get to stressed out by there presence or the beasts kill them on sight.

Would green, brown, or yellow elves view each other as the same species?

like this better than being a cultural aspect. Heart/drum, breath/flute, voice/horn, touch/fingerbones, mind/flintstone (i.e. spark), etc. Connecting item with body with (potentially) Runes.
I personally been assuming rattles for orlanthi cultures as an imitation of a storm Though flutes also make sense. Drums for praxians to imitate the hoof beats of herd beasts.

s the preeminent Earth Deity of combat, having B.Gor not have the True (sacred Earth weapon) seems, well, odd in the extreme. Unless, as noted above, we have a solid mythic explanation for that anomaly.
Isn't babs more of a vengeance and protection goddess this may be why. Or babs isn't a true war god. Maybe the true earth war god was killed at generts garden or just not well known. Just justify why babs might not have true weapon.. what g33k said I didn't see their post until after I made mine.

so the Role playing in Glorantha book states on pg 354 "As the Horned Man departs,
he gifts the shaman a drum. (The drum is a typical gift, but each
culture may have its own symbols: rattle, headdress, statues, etc.)"so i have to ask what is the shamanic symbol of the different cultures of glorantha.

Anyway, has anybody been crazy enough to use rune metal javelins or arrows?
I imagine you would if you need to slay something you can't get close with so you enchant a javelin or arrow to kill it quickly and at range
-
In the game six ages an event you get is the spirit of your clans pottery kiln is upset so if pottery kilns can have spirits I can see a shaman having a place in cities

So you can with summon specific ancestor but what about summon ancestor. Could it still be from that far back.
-
How far back can you summon an ancestor could you summon an ancestor from the dawn or even before time?

The beasts get to eat the bounty of the earth directly, receive the respect and protection of the people, and are guaranteed to go straight to Eiritha when they die. The people get the service of the beasts for labor and sustenance.
There were no losers only different prizes. Personally for my glorantha every tribe and herd beast cheated to get the results they wanted nobody lost

Also, what about Humakt? He is a small cult in Sartar but if my math is right the fact that he doesn't appear on the list means that his cult is around less than 1% of the total adult population, which is far less than in Sartar. Is he even worshipped at all? On a similar note, which is the position of Humakt in the Heartlands? Is he recognized as Death like the Orlanthi recognize Yelm as the Sun but don't worship him? Or do they have their own way of looking at Death?
Humakt had to have had presence at the very least in the past since yanafal tarnils worshiped humakt.

Kazkurtum was/is a part of Yelm, his Other? So is it everything bad about centralisation and hierarchy? The cult of Stalin and Mao? Beyond socialism and communism. Or the caste system of India at its worst? Both?
Would make sense. I don't know much about Kazkurtim but could he represent an emperor without an empire, Because didn't he reign during the great darkness?

Believe it or not, I have decided on a Selene ambush as my party paddles upstream on the Lyksos. Boat rolls, anyone?
Do they have any water worshiper? If not this will probably be entertaining.

So it's like one of those paintball games where you switch sides after being killed?
More like you hunt the bear before the bear hunts you

So he's what they hunt on the 'Great Hunt' then?
Yes but as a bear he is also a hunter
